I sweat profusely. This condition makes me stay in air-conditioned rooms all the time. However, it is inevitable to go out to warmer temperatures especially if you live in a tropical country.
I have encountered an article which explains that titanium clips are surgically placed inside the body to hinder the effects of the nerve responsible for profuse sweating in the palms or soles.
My problem is, I sweat profusely in my scalp, face and torso. It really becomes very embarassing during 'social situations.
Help me, please!
I believe I am suffering from hyperhidrosis. Do you know of ways on how to counteract this condition?
Dear,
You should take homyopathic medicine to have a permanent cure
Take PSORINUM 200 tabs.It will cure your internal system and purify your body from all the abnormallities
thanking you

Allergic to sweat?
Everytime my fiance comes home from work and he has been hot and sweaty... his back and arms are covered in a rash. I'm thinking he MAY be allergic to his sweat. We switched to the unscented detergents, don't use dryer sheets, he uses Dove Sensitive Skin soap, yet this "rash" will not go away. I've bought numerous over the counter anti-itch, and anti-rash creams but nothing works. He scratches and ends up making him bleed. I keep telling him scratching only makes it worse, but does anybody have any other solutions or ideas that we can use?
Allergic to sweat?
It is probably a heat rash. See the skin rash page at the source below.
Allergic to sweat?
I have the same problem. It's a heat rash called "eczema." It takes a long time for it to go away. I haven't found a solution yet. Sorry, I know that it doesn't help much. Just remember that scratching it makes it worse. I hope I helped!

My friend has a smelling problem?
my friend gets really hot easily, when she's in school, all of a sudden she sweats really bad, you can see it. It goes down to almost her boob. thats how much she sweats. and on top of that her vaginal area smells too. she always cry's and tells me that she's embarrassed and i feel bad. she's used deodorent to stop the smell but it doesnt stop the sweating. and she takes showers ever single day to stop the smelling from down below. she needs help. what do i do to help her!
My friend has a smelling problem?
This needs to be evaluated by a dr but I would first start with talking to her mom and letting her know what you have observed and that you are concerned for your friend.
My friend has a smelling problem?
Your friend should see her doctor about the sweating. She should also look in the stores for the different sprays and wipes that they have especially for smells coming from the vaginal area.

Arm Pit Sweat?
I have a friend who sweats excessively through her arm pits. She is sooo self conscience about it. She has thought about botox injections (supposed to cure it) but one of the side affects is DEATH, so she is not going for that. She has tried several full strenghth deodorents nothing seems to work.
I was just curious if any one out there knows some way I could help her?
Arm Pit Sweat?
GIRL I HAVE THAT SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!! It really sucks. Tell her that she should dry under her arms well before she puts on any deodorent. All ways shower because people with sweat problems cannot skip a day. Also she should make sure there is not hair under the arms because that will contribute to the sweating. When she applies the deodorant make sure it covers the entire sweat producing area that includes right above and below the actual arm pit. Oh and after she showers and dries she sould wait about 5 minutes before applying deodorant and putting on clothes. Tell her she should try Mitium deodorant.
Arm Pit Sweat?
has she seen a specialist? they can suscribe special deoderants and antipersperints.
Reply:I've used a great product called "Certain Dry". It's found at Walmart and Rite Aid. You put it on before bed at night and not right after a shower. Within 2 weeks, you should notice a huge difference! It literally closes your pores. You should still wear regular deoderant (I use Mitchum for women) in the morning or right after your shower. Sometimes when you first use Certain Dry, it may burn a little or hurt or itch. If this persists, only use it every other day or less, it should go away, if it doesn't, don't use it.
Reply:I use a product called Certain Dri. You put it on before you go to bed and then use a normal deodorant after showering in the morning. It helps a ton with wetness! If that fails though, she should see a doctor for a prescription strength anti-persperant.

Do you sweat more when you drink lots of water?
Lately I have been drinking lots of water and now i sweat more easier in P.E.
Do you sweat more when you drink lots of water?
You do not sweat more when you drink lots of water. As you get in better shape you begin to sweat sooner. It could also be that before your body was trying to preserve water because you hadn't drank enough, and now it is able to sweat without going into negative. It is very important to drink plenty of water. A lot of people don't realize the value of hydration. Keep it up.
Do you sweat more when you drink lots of water?
I don't know what's going on with you exactly. But I'm thinking that it's better to drink more water because if you don't have enough sweat to cool you down, you will dry up and turn into a raisin.
Reply:if you are physical, yes.
Reply:Not sure about that. But be sure to keep hydrated even if you're NOT thirsty. Excessive sweat means loss of bodily water and that water is needed.
Reply:yes , you can take salt tablets with water to reduce sweating old school football coaches would give them to thier players
Reply:Yes, I do.

Why do i wake up sweaty?
Every single morning i wake up sweating. Not so much my face but my legs and my chest and my shirt is always wet from sweat. It isnt hot in my room at all. I live in NJ and its kinda cold..why do i sweat and this never used to happen before.
Why do i wake up sweaty?
mmm.. not sure maybe your having bad dreams, but you don't remember them so afterwards you have no idea what happened. I know when i have bad dreams i sweat somtimes.. not sure. Maybe it's when you sleep you cover yourself in a horse load of blankets and don't realize it.. or do you move in your sleep? You may want to sleep with a light blanket. I know this sounds kinda gross, but it will most likely help and just shower it off in the morning. Take some gel deoderant or the solid kind if you'd like and smear a little bit on your back, chest and tap a little on your forhead, cheeks, and nose area. Wait a bit before going to bed to let your body absorb it and then later just see the results in the morning. Try sleeping nearly naked.. just boxers or go commando. Also go to a store and buy yourself a fan that should help. I usto sleep during the summer time with the fan on and it always prevent me from sweating..

Have you check you blood pressure lately? if it is high it can cause night sweats

Do nipples sweat?
Do they have the same amount of sweat glands as the rest of your skin? They never seem to taste as salty as other areas. Such as the forehead. Or the back of a knee.
Do nipples sweat?
Elaborating onto shabbys answer, yes and no.
During normal everyday life no.
During lactation the modified sweat glands AKA breast become active and the bi-product AKA breast milk is discharged via the nipples. This isn't sweat as you would find in the skin elsewhere but technically speaking it is.
Do nipples sweat?
Deep fried nipples taste saltier than if they are stewed in a slow cooker. It's all in the preperation. ;P
Reply:Nope, no sweat glands....
Reply:No, nipples have no fat, hair, or sweat glands. However, the areola do.
Reply:...mine dont, but yours might
Reply:with girls, nipples are modified sweat gland so i guess they can sweat, but its kinda milky!
Reply:The most common sweat glands are in the armpits or forehead. The nipples i think goes by gender.

Do flies sweat?
It was so hot today in N.Y. that I only saw one fly. I was wondering if they get hot and most of all do flies sweat.
Do flies sweat?
Flies don't sweat. They are "cold blooded" that means that their body temperature changes are exactly the same as the outside temperature.
Insects do best when the temperature is around 84 degrees F. When the temp drops below 45 degrees or goes above 104, they seem to become a bit slower. It is hard to swat a fly when it is 90 degrees out, but you can easily hit one when the temp is just above freezing.
When you or I are running around in a desert where the temperature is at 120, we can actually live because we would sweat and sweating keeps us cooler. Insects on the other hand would simply begin to cook.
Do flies sweat?
No. The flies just found themselves some cool place to sit it out. The heat could kill them too. It is not intellegence just a piece of evolution
Reply:hmmm...ill go ask one and let you know
Reply:Actually they transfer gas and vapor through their stoma. I suppose that counts for the same basic process.

sounds like a small panic attack. or anxiety attack. talk to your doctor and see if he/she can help. also try this relaxing technique. inhale slowly through your nose to a count of 8 then hold to a count of 4 then slowly exhale through the mouth to a count of 8. while doing this keep your shoulders down and relaxed. repeat this until you feel relaxed. it does work it just takes practice.

Do Africans sweat more than white people in direct sunlight?
not being rude or sarcastic - just wondered about that today.
I saw this guy dressed to the 9's and he didn't have a bead of sweat on him - it's like 99 degrees today - what is up with that - lucky fool.
Do Africans sweat more than white people in direct sunlight?
its dependant on the sweat glands not color, %26amp; basically how the body compensates, or look at it the other way black absorbs heat, while white reflects, so blacks sweat more
Do Africans sweat more than white people in direct sunlight?
sounds like that guy doesn't drink enough fluids.
sweating depends on diet, health and the person themselves.
i'm unsure if race has much to do with it.
if you don't sweat you burn up.
Reply:I have no clue. But it depends on how much a water the person has had.
Reply:No we don't sweat more than white people. Our sweat glands are completely different than everyone's glands on the planet. God has specific sweat glands for each race.
Seriously though, race has nothing to do with how people sweat. Its based on a person's individual body and how that particular body deals with temperatures. I can't believe you are that ignorant about people of a different race that you would ask a question like that.
Reply:Probably not because Africans are tropical people and are used to the sun...j/k...
Reply:I don't know. I'm a white guy, in good physical condition, and sweat like crazy in the heat or in the sack. I doubt it has anything to do with color.
Reply:Well African (are you talking about a US black or an African black?) people are generally in more direct sunlight where they live and if anything they should sweat MORE because it helps you cool down. But it could just be his genetics. Sweat glands differ from person to person.

Reply:Well, your not supposed to use antiperspirsent, you should probably just try drinking more water
Reply:sweating is the bodies way of cooling off so there is no way to stop it or get rid of it. you could always stop moving or live in a place where its freezing all the time...that's about all you can do to lessen it. it SHOULD NOT make you self conscious because everyone does it. try a deoderant with antiperspirant in it that should help you feel dryer too.
Reply:dont excersize too much
Reply:Sweating is the body鈥檚 natural way of cooling us down. Although it may feel as if the sweat or perspiration is making us hotter, especially on warm days, without sweat, we would not be able to tolerate the heat our bodies would produce.
We sweat in order to keep the body at its normal temperature, which is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius). If we lost this bodily function we could suffer from heatstroke in hot weather.
Think of all the food the body takes in each day. This has to be burned off somehow. The burning of this food produces heat within the body which triggers our brain to kick start the body鈥檚 natural cooling process. Inside the human body are long, twisting tubes of cells known as the sweat glands. The blood vessels in our skin open and the fluid is released through our pores.
There are approximately 2 million sweat glands in our body. We may not realize it but we perspire even when it is a cold day and we are not doing anything particularly strenuous. The body is two-thirds water and we lose a great amount of this every day through sweating. This is why it is so important to drink approximately 2 liters of water each day in order to replenish the lost fluids.
There are two different types of sweat glands: the Eccrine and the Aprocrine glands. The Eccrine is the more common of the two and is found in parts of the body such as the forehead, palms of the hands and soles of the feet. The Aprocrine can be found in the armpits and the end of the hair follicles.
Sweat itself is made up of different elements. The most common elements are water and sodium, otherwise known as salt. At times, we can have a low sweat production--this happens when it is cool and we are resting. The higher sweat production occurs in very hot weather or when we are exercising. High production contains about 20 percent more sodium than low sweat production.
There is also a difference in the chemical elements when we perspire. Perspiration that is produced through the Aprocrine glands, or in the armpit, will be thicker and perhaps have a yellowish color. This is because it contains fatty acids and proteins. It is this type of sweat under the arms, coupled with antiperspirants, which can turn clothing yellow. Notice when we apply deodorants it is only to the armpits, in order to counteract the smell of the Aprocrine sweat. Sweat is actually odorless, but when it starts to decompose and is attacked by bacteria, the smell can be unpleasant.
In countries with hot climates such as India, the people have a very much higher salt intake than would be considered healthy for us. It can be assumed that this is because they lose a large amount of chemicals such as salt through perspiration. Sweating, although at times embarrassing, is a natural bodily function crucial to our survival.

Do you sweat more with . .?
a singlet as opposed to wearing a short sleeved tshirt?
My boss says that the reason that he doesn't like singlets is because they 'cause you to sweat more and therefore smell more'.
Do you sweat more with . .?
I don't think it's the singlet that he has the problem with. It's that the t-shirt absorbs more sweat so it seems like you are sweating less. I go with the t-shirt method myself %26amp; that's the reason.

What should I do about smelly guy at work?
I started a new job last month and there is this really fat guy who stinks. He comes into the office sweating after climbing the stairs and then stinks the room out. He sweats all day and wears the same clothes so the smell you get is of stale sweat in his clothes.
He also blows his nose really really loudly, I have earphones on with music up full and can still hear him and the noice turns my stomach.
When its a hot day he takes off his shoes and socks and that mixed with the smell from his clothes does not make a good day in the office.
How does this guy not realise his personal habits are not effecting other people? If I had a sweaty top and it smelled a bit I would damn well not be wearing it the next day.
Is he completly oblivious to other people? How can he take off his shoes and socks and not think other people don't mind it?
As I've only been here a month I don't think I can go to the boss and tell him of the sitution. Do I wait 6 months is over then request another office?
What should I do about smelly guy at work?
I would go buy a bar of Irish Spring, a can of Shower to Shower powder, and some Odor Eaters insoles, and a trial size box of laundry soap, put them in a plain brown bag, write "Take a Hint" on the bag, and leave it anonymously on his desk.
He might not be aware that others can smell him, after all, a Fox can't smell his own hole.

Reply:Maybe the problem is you. You should find another job. Or quit working all together. It worked for me.
Reply:well tell him he needs anti pesperant, and he should buy some new shoes. and put goot powder in them and get skinnier u fat ***...
Reply:In this situation tact is the key. Discreetly have a little talk with the person. Try not to sound offensive or disgusted just try and let him see things from your point of view. I'm sure you are not the only person that has experienced this at the office so probably others will be willing to point out the same problem to him.
Take care and good luck.

That is probably why the last person left and yes I think I would mention it to the boss, he knows it anyway, but ask him for some ideas at least. That is miserable!!!!! One way I handled a similiar situation years ago with a lady co worker, is I gave her some clothes a family member had outgrown and then explained to her how they sure last longer if they are washed often and gave her a few hints on how to take care of the things I gave her..........she got a lot better about changing anyway...............

I'm sure you are not the only person that has experienced this at the office so probably others will be willing to point out the same problem to him.
Take care and good luck.

One way I handled a similiar situation years ago with a lady co worker, is I gave her some clothes a family member had outgrown and then explained to her how they sure last longer if they are washed often and gave her a few hints on how to take care of the things I gave her..........she got a lot better about changing anyway...............

What causes some people to sweat more then others and what can be done to increase ones ability to perspire?
I can hardly sweat at all. I know that from a social perspective that is seen as a good thing, but from a health perspective it is NOT!
How can I increase my bodies ability to sweat?????

I have this problem too. I haven't done anything about it, but I would try diaphoretic herbs (sweat producing) such as peppermint..take it while hot.
Here are some of these herbs below..

What to do about smelly sweat?
I shower daily and apply an antiperspirant/deodorant but I still smell bad. I also use an antibacterial soap. I don't know what to do. I have tried drysol and cut out stuff like onions and garlic from my diet. I don't sweat excessively but whenever I do sweat it smells horrible. It is ruining my social life and kids at school avoid me.
What to do about smelly sweat?
I feel sorry for you, but awesome question....
Something internally is going on.
try taking baths 3x a week in EPSOM SALT you will find it in your local drugstore. It comes in a carton like milk .Usually no more than $3.and will be near rubbing alcohol %26amp; H2O2. The salts release toxins from the skin. You just run a tub full of water, add bubble bath, add e-salts right before you jump in, and soak in it. You should see/smell a difference within 1week!!
*this is an old fashioned remedy*
What to do about smelly sweat?
You need to find out the root cause by seeing your doctor. There are many reasons why someone might have offensive odors. Could be a medical condition, something you eat, or could be a reaction to something you use like soap or a particular deodorant or something. Best bet is a trip to the DOC!
Reply:Try cutting back on strong vegis such as broccoli and stay away from fried foods. You can also apply deoderant to the feet, use a body spray or baking soda to the body after a shower. Change out your shoes and let the old ones dry fully over 24 hours to decrease bacteria. You can also try the herbal section for natural herbal deodorizers to ingest.
Reply:Sweat to begin with, doesn't have an odor. It's only when the sweat is combined with bacteria on the skin, that odor arises. I don't think anti-bacterial soaps are all that great for your body. Try using a mild soap like Dove, or ivory. Make sure that your shirts are being washed thoroughly. And make sure your deodorant/antiperspirant hasn't been used by a dirty person. also when you wash under your arms, use a wash cloth instead of just using your hand. That's more effective.

Morning glisten... late night laundry sweat shop smell!?
well you know how they say women don't sweat they glisten? NO I SWEAT AND HARD! becasue my workouts are first thing in the morning, my damp clothes are sitting in my car all day while i'm at work. by the time i get home and get them to the laundry, they make the clothes i wash them with stink even when i use extra detergent and softner! AH! NOBODY WANTS TO BE THE SMELLY GIRL! helpfull ideas!!?!!
Morning glisten... late night laundry sweat shop smell!?
Wash your gym clothes separately... Have a whole weeks worth of gym clothes, that way it makes up a load of laundry. Get a detergent with baking soda - I think Arm and Hammer makes a laundry detergent. You could also add a cup of apple cider vinegar to the rinse cycle - Vinegar is an excellent odor killer and it will soften your clothing.
Morning glisten... late night laundry sweat shop smell!?
Try putting some baking soda or white vinegar in with the laundry in addition to the detergent. Otherwise, take your clothes home first and hang them somewhere to dry before you go to work.

What is sweat?
What is sweat and why does it make you loose weight? I've always been curious to know.
What is sweat?
Urea and water. Its probablyy right but why cant you just look it up on google or something?
What is sweat?
it's weakness leaving the body
Reply:sweat is a mixture mainly of water, urea and sebum from your pores, used to cool your body down. its not actually sweat so much that causes you to lose weight....its the expenditure of energy/heat. food is measured in calories, and those calories are assigned by how long it takes to heat it/implement enough energy to use it up basically. it doesnt take long to "burn up" a celery stick, but it would take way longer to burn oh lets say a pizza or something. i hope this makes sense :)
Reply:It's just toxins leaving the body and it's a way to cool the body down as you heat up the furnace inside you through exercise. It's a cleansing of your insides through your pores.
Reply:My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website

Hello..I've been suffering from excessive hand sweating from years now, I have gotten it from my father's side of the family (he had many problems that I inherited my bad luck..) so anyway my question is that I have found two things that can prevent my hand sweating or even for a few minutes would help I have found two things Anti Sweat tm and Whip Wetless if anyone is familiar with this please respond so I won't know it's not a complete useless thing to waste my time with and can confirm it doesn't steal credit card info (I had trouble with my credit card in the past when I ordered something online) or whatnot if anyone can help it would be appreciated thanks.

My hands sweat often regardless of temperature or anxiety; how can I limit and or stop this?
I think my hands sweat most often when I'm sitting in a comfortable environment or when I'm holding something. Anything you know that works?
Thanks!

you could go to the doctor and see if they have something for you.

I have same problem, I heard its hyperhydrosis(something like that), what I do is just put baby powder on my hands, bad thing is it wears off after awhile.
Reply:Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had it for a long time before learning this.
Check out this article about hyperhidrosis, grains, and sugars. Scroll about halfway down the page.

I had hyperhidrosis and other symptoms for many years. I tried all the usual treatments including ETS surgery, prescriptions, antiperspirants, botox, etc. The surgery was most helpful but several years later hyperhidrosis began to return.
This year I was diagnosed with food allergies due to celiac disease. I eliminated wheat, dairy, and sugar from my diet. I stopped all prescriptions and began taking supplements with B Vitamins, Folic Acid, magnesium and other minerals.

My horse is too fat?
My poor horse is getting too fat. I have seeked advidce on how to get her back in shape. I was told to take her out on longer rides and too push her up and down hills until she is sweating a lot, I have done this a lot to the extent that her sweat does be all over my levis. She is loosing wait slowly but just wondering do horses sweat different just like we do? Cause i am sick of riding in wet levis 501's. Especially when riding bare back. And I dont think it would be too comfortable for my horse with wet jeans rubbing against her back.
My horse is too fat?
More excercise and stop over feeding her/him.
My horse is too fat?
Try cutting back a little on her food.
Reply:You can also lunge her. You don't have to be on her back to exercise her.
Also change her feed. Give her stam instead of sweet feed and try and keep her off the grass and just feed her alfalfa.
Keep in mind though winter is coming. And a fat horse has a better chance in surviving winter than a skinny one. Especially if they stay outside.
She could just be picking up on her nature instinct because of winter being around the corner. Horses will do this even if winter is in a warm climate.
Reply:try running it more and use a saddle
Reply:Some horses sweat no matter what, some have to really be working hard. Look into one of those Western blankets that you usually fold in half, don't fold it lay it so it hangs down her sides and cinch over it, it will help protect your legs from getting soaked and turning black. A cheaper way is to cut a strip of plastic from a bag and tape it around your calf for a sweat proof barrier. Good luck
Reply:is she pregnant??? what are you feeding her!? does she stay in a stall all day? take this into consideration. longer rides and sweating is ok but if she goes to eat before cooling down she can get sick, do some warm up andcool down stuff too, use a lunge line. try to reduce food intake and increase pasture time. my gelding has a barn but stays out all the time, eats oats and grain mixtures once a day(about one gallon) plus an all day supply of hay and of course grass and duh water, he doesn't look thin but i wish i could get weight on him!! so just put her to pasture, it will do wonders. oh and my family has 10 horses and 15+ ponies and never had an overweight one since ever!!
Reply:In order to effectively answer this question, we need to know the details of your feed schedule. Is your horse on pasture, dry lot, or stable? How many acres of space does your horse have to move around? If you are feeding hay, what type of hay are you feeding? How much? How big is your horse (height)? What breed? How old? Are you supplementing with any concentrates or grain? If so, what type(s)?
If you can answer these questions, we may be able to help you better. Also, what makes you think your horse is too fat? (Please describe it).
Reply:Less green grass (This is VERY fattening), more hay and less grain. Not too many treats. And to save the levies... get a saddle or some chaps. Also if you don't want to ride that much, lunge her instead. That's a great work out for them too if you go long engouh... watch her wind thouhg. Don't need a winded horse. That could be dangerous.
Reply:Our horse was wicked fat when we got her. We cut down on her food and gave her more exersize. We also are switching to Triple Crown lite food because thats what our other horse ate and he stayed a perfect weight
Reply:Instead of riding her so much perhaps try lunging her more. Just don't push her too much or she may injure herself. Also consider a different type of feed. If you are giving her sweet feed then you should change it up or mix less of it in with a different kind. Also get her out of her stall and in with other horses. they are social animals.
Another thing, try riding with just a saddle pad, or soft capris.
Reply:I think you are doing the right thing with her exercise regimen. Contrary to some of the other answers, longeing her more instead of riding will not help. Riding (especially at the trot) burns many more calories than longeing. Also, people tend to "over longe", circles and uneven weight distribution can be taxing on a horse's joints.
I would suggest keeping up with what you're doing, but try a diet change. Finally on the market feed companies are realizing that horses have different metabolism rates (just as people do) and that some horses just need to take in less fat and calories to maintain an ideal weight.
Nutrena has just come out with a product called Lite Balance that people have had great luck with. Also Purina Mare %26amp; Maintenance is a great feed that you can feed a small amount of and still ensure that your horse is getting all of the vitamins %26amp; minerals she requires. Purina Horse Chow has been around forever and would probably work, but is not as high quality feed as the other two. I think you would have success by trying one of these feeds.
If this doesn't work, you may want to consider having some bloodwork done. Sometimes a thyroid or other condition will keep weight on her no matter what you do. There are supplements for these kinds of disorders which actually are not as expensive as one would think.
Keep up the good work, remember horses feel much better at a healthy weight just like people do. Happy trails and good luck to you!
Reply:I know this is a rough answer but how much are you feeding her??? Is she ever out in the pasture???? She has to have lots of exersiz but it doesnt mean you have to necessarily ride her alot. That could be dangerous if where you live is cold... you should give her only one and a half scoops of grain at each feeding time, but you should put a mineral enhanced salt block in the middle of her feed bucket so she doesnt feel deprived. It will make her drink more water than usual which is good for her. Make sure she gets plenty of excersize even if it means just leading her around you on a lead rope. Good luck. Got any good tips on how to fatten my horse up??? She was abused a couple of owners back so she is real skinny, and she needs fattening up desperately...any help would be appreciated!!! Good luck with your horses diet!!! : )
Reply:You are doing the best thing by riding her.
Get a saddle that will help with the wet Levis problem.
I hate it when they sweat so bad you are soaked.
My husbands mare is like that in the summer.
She is also heavy and we ride her every day with lots of hills and lots of trot time to burn calories.
She gets only a handful of grain to take her vitamins in. And free choice grass hay for 12 hours per day. The other time she is on pasture but wearing a grazing muzzle to limit her grass intake.
Grazing muzzles work great. They can still drink and get some grass but not as much and it will cut back on how much they are eating.
Reply:dont push her to much, this can actually cause her to gain wait.
if you are feeding her grain or alfalfa hay consider stoping and swiching to grass hay but cut back slow you dont want her to colic.
OR maybe shes pregantent
Reply:exercise will help but she needs to be on a diet too. if she is out in a pasture you can buy a grazing muzzle. it snaps on to her halter and limits her grass intake. she can't have it on all the time. just like during the day and off at night or something. give her just a little grain once a day if you want. add that to her exercise everyday and that will help her lose weight. when you do ride her it doesn't have to be until she's dripping with sweat. a lot of trotting and not so much cantering will work the belly off of her. this is what we did with a fat pony and he lost weight.
Reply:take some advice from an expert. i have been training horses for a long time and i know the worst you can do is push her. too much sweating can cause heatstroke in the summer and pnemonia in the winter. just take her to a open feild and work her on a lunge. first at a walk, then a trot, then a canter, and back to a walk. do this several times a week riding her occasionally. also you should keep her from getting too much feed. it wiil help a whole lot.when you are done always remember to give her a good brushing a nd get all the sweat off if she sweats. it could make her sick. well i hope that helps. it works on my two horses every year.
Reply:Doing long rides completely at a trot are better than making her run her heart out. It will help build her muscles in her hindquarters when she's going up the hills, and it will burn fat faster. Burning fat is an aerobic activity, so it requires oxygen, meaning that she can't be running. Same applies to humans, which is why it's better to power walk or jog than to do sprints.

Looking for some really cute sweats. Help me out!?
I've been looking for sweats for a while now, and I found some adorable ones at Victoria Secret, and I actually went to check them out thinking they were on sale for 20 bucks. Turns out they were 40. I really almost bought them at that price, but I didn't. Anyway, I'm looking for full length sweats. Preferably Blue, Gray, White, etc. I'll go up to 30 bucks and MAYBE forty if they're that cute. They can be from Victoria Secret, AE, Hollister, or any other place. Help me out here! 10 pts!

Night-time troubles??
I have been having trouble breathing at night, especially when I am laying kind of flat. It helps a ton if I put a few pillows under my head. I have also been getting awful night sweats. I wake up in the middle of the night and my pillows and sheets are soaked through! It's a VERY cold sweat. It's like someone dumped a bucket of cold water over my upper body. Any ideas what may be going on? I have to see my Dr. on Wednesday, but this is getting out of control! Last night was the worst night with the sweating ever!
Night-time troubles??
you might be suffering from GERD, which is reflux disease, at night it does cause you to sweat, and difficulty breathing, because the stomach acid is backing up into the esophagous, try drinking a glass of very cold water, or maybe taking some mylanta, or pepto bismol, if that doesn't help and you are having chest pains during these episodes, by all means, go to the local emergency room, and get checked out.
Night-time troubles??
do you smoke and have alot of caffiene, if so cut back., that was my trouble
Reply:It could be any number of thiings--
You might have GERD, as has been mentioned above. In that case you'll need to modify your diet %26amp;/or take meds, all things that are very easy to do.
You may have sleep apnea and need a CPAP or BiPAP machine to breathe or some simple ENT surgery to keep your breathing passages open. If you're over-weight or snore heavily, this will make things worse overall.
When you sleep better with extra pillows, say two, that's called two-pillow orthopnea, three-pillow, etc. It could indicate a heart and/or lung problem. Here's a link that can help explain it:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...
I know it's scary and hard not to panic, but do try to hang on and not dig your grave already before you get a medical exam and get some tests done. Good idea getting yourself to a doctor.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that things turn out well for you and you get the answers you need.
Reply:well if you're a woman it could be menopause if you're at the right age that is....the breathing could be a hiatal hernia and like the other person said...sleep apnea....also night sweats...how's your blood pressure...any diabetes?....and have an EKG to check the heart out too....good luck...one thing/one day at a time...this is all workable stuff!

Why don't some parts of my body sweat?
Whenever I'm in the Sauna, the only parts that are drenched with sweat are my forehead, my neck and especially my back. None of the other parts don't sweat, or sweats very little. Why?
Why don't some parts of my body sweat?
Some parts of the body have less sweat glands than other parts and these body parts are different for each person. For instance, some people have very sweaty hands and feet. In your case, it sounds like your neck and back have more sweat glands than other parts of your body.

What are some solutions for sweaty armpits?
I'm 24 and I've had sweaty armpits since my early teens. I would hope in 2007 that there would be some type of breakthrough that doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. If any one has any tricks and tips to limiting the sweating, hinding the sweating stains while in public, and getting out sweat stains and orders please pass it on. As always only serious reponses please. Thanks in advance.
What are some solutions for sweaty armpits?
there are actually a bunch of options for treatment. you can go to this website for more info: http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec18/ch206/ch...
if you want to start out not going to a doctor, there's something you can buy that's called certaindry, or another one called 5 day, that can help with sweating. you should also try using a men's antiperspirant/deodorant--i'm pretty sweaty, and that's the only thing that works for me.
as far as covering it up...AVOID gray--i've found that this shows sweat the most. obviously black and white don't show it much--but don't buy expensive white shirts because getting the stains out is hard...you can try those clorox bleach pens right after you take your shirt off, and treat it again with shout or something similar before you wash it.
to lessen your sweating, avoid caffeine, spicy foods, smoking, alcohol, and synthetic clothing.

i have the same problem and i find that using CERTAIN DRY really works! good luck
Reply:There is this stuff called Silver Soft, it treats literally everything! Anyway, someone suggested my friend use it because she has suffered with the same problem as you for years. She uses it now, and loves it! You can get it at, www.shopalotat.shopeverest.com
Go tho their beauty and skin care section, and then click on specialty products. It costs like $7 for a small bottle and $14 for a big bottle. Read about it. I seriously use this stuff for everything. It's amazing!
Reply:I agree with one of the other posters, which is try Certain Dri!
It's available in most pharmacies on the shelves. It costs me about $10 a bottle, but lasts a couple of months. You need to apply a couple strokes to your underarms before sleeping, and then put on regular deodorant in the morning. It works like a charm! I'm 19 and used to have horrible sweating problems. I started using this a little over a year ago at the recommendation of some people on yahoo!answers and it's been unbelievable. Just don't use right after you've shaved, because your skin is at its most sensitive then.
Good luck! Please try this. It really solved a lot of things for me.

How do you get the sweat, body smell out of sheets?
I am a pretty clean person. And neither me or my husband sweat a lot at night but even once I have washed our bedding, it dosn't smell fresh. It still has that 'sweat' smell. I use Tide %26amp; I always use a fabric softener. What else can I put in the laundry?? What will break down that odor?
How do you get the sweat, body smell out of sheets?
wash repeatedly until the smell is gone in hot water, detergent and vinegar...sounds terrible but works
How do you get the sweat, body smell out of sheets?
Bleach, or if it's colred, color safe bleach
Reply:youmay need to wash the matress cover as well.. i usually do that with bleach..
Reply:Maybe some bleach.
Reply:Are the sheets old? Does your room have a scent? Do your clothes smell? You need to completely clean your room, air it out, and buy new sheets.
Reply:hot water.
Stop the agitation and let them soak for a few minutes extra.
Reply:Try bleach for colors Or baking soda in the wash.
Reply:add bleach to the wash load if the sheets are white/Chlorox II for colors if they are colored).. also change the fabric softener to Febreeze (by bounce).
Reply:I saw something new yesterday at Wal-Mart made by Febreeze. I think you let your clothes soak in it. It is for getting the odor out of smelly clothes.
Reply:You got no choice, you will sweat anyway.
Reply:.....soak them overnight in fabric softner or air them out on the terrace....
Reply:Hot water %26amp; bleach if it's really bad. Wash your mattress bad too. If you don't have a mattress pad and the odor still persists, maybe it's your mattress. What about a different detergent?
Do you have a water softener? Is so, and you haven't cleaned your water softener lately it will produce stinky water.
Reply:wash the mattress cover, and don't over stuff the washing machine
Reply:Try one of the detergents aimed at getting out smells. I think AIM or GAIN have one that will do that and they also leave a great smell on your laundry. Also, try using hot water and putting some baking soda in the water. Maybe trying spraying them with fabreze before washing them might help. And, you might want to try spraying the mattress with Fabreze while the sheets are washing just incase the smell is coming from the mattress. Good luck!
Reply:Try putting some baking soda in your wash along with Tide and fabric softner. Bleach oughta do it took, however, it's hard on your fabrics if used too often.
Reply:Try to put half the amount of clothes in the machine, and use a liquid detergent. Throw in two sheets of Bounce - just to see - and for the sheets, anyway, use a hot water wash. If all that doesn't work, maybe it's time for some new sheets;-)
Reply:Oxyclean
Reply:buy new sheets. if washing them %26amp; fabric softener isn't doing enough, then go for a different material.
Reply:I agree with putting baking soda in the wash. But also air out your mattress fairly frequently, if possible, put outside for 2 or 3 hours every 3 or 4 months. And spray it with febreze every time you change sheets. This should help also. Good luck!!

I need a second of your time..?

My horse is too fat?
More excercise and stop over feeding her/him.

Try cutting back a little on her food.

10 pts!

It Hurts Bad enough that I'm Ready to Ask?
Ok so this only happens around this time of year and for some reason it only happens after a long hot day at work.
My rear end hurts real bad! It's not muscle pain for sure, it's like a skin irritation. I think it's chapped but I'm not sure, to fix it in the past I just put on some skin so soft, and the next morning I'd feel fine. Well this time I woke up and it hurt worse then ever.
It's in the crack but not on/in the anus.
I have a wierd suspicion that it has to do with sweating a lot and then not reaching back there and "mopping it up". Because it always happens on hot days when I've been sweating a lot (especialy **** sweat).
So I need help because I don't want to go walking around work today looking like a [gay guy] raped me in the [rear].
It Hurts Bad enough that I'm Ready to Ask?
It sounds like prickly heat. try calamine lotion. You could also try baby powder. seriously.
It Hurts Bad enough that I'm Ready to Ask?
My husband has that in the summertime too. He's a truck driver and the leather seats don't help his condition. He uses vitamin e liquid caplets. He uses the liquid and puts it directly on the rash before bed and it will heal over night. It works amazing on diaper rash on babies too.
Reply:Congrats on your bravery to ask! I'd suggest getting (for real, don't balk me or laugh) diaper rash cream and smear in on the affected area. It will protect it from further sweaty irritation and help it heal at the same time. You are not the first person I've heard of with this...
Reply:Baby powder can help stop it from happening, use a bit of baby powder on areas that are affected in the morning before work and it will help absorb moisture. As for healing it now no real advise on that one.
Reply:Well you need to go to a doctor and tell him because you could have something serious. It could get worse!!!!
Reply:You got what we call in the south "gald". My hubby has it and swears by Gold Bond lotion and powder. Use the lotion at night before sleep and in the morning powder on Gold Bond with a puff and dont be stingy with it. I have used it myself and it works.
Reply:Chub rub. Swamp ***. Skin issues in the Summer. Happens to a lot of us. Use some sort of powder each day down there. I use Ammens medicated powder it makes all of the difference in the world. (Gold Bond is good as well and Baby Powder)Out of the shower make sure you are very clean and dry back there. Blow dry the area if you have to. Clean and dry is the key. If this does not go away go see a derm for advice and help.

I have really bad body odor.?
Ive done everything I can! I use strong deoderant at night. Foot powder in the morning. Sometimes Ifeel like my hair smells. I've tried changing soaps, deoderants even my detergent. I work in an office and I sweat a lot, which I NEVER did before I got this job. I think its from me getting stressed at work. I drink 3-4 Diet Cokes a day, I heard caffeine works up your nervous system and that makes you sweat. I normally have 3 servings of water in the morning. When I stopped doing that I noticed the sweating wasn't as bad. But I've tried so many things I don't know what makes a difference anymore. I have all these theories Ive tried out so I don't know what made the smell not as bad. I'm worried that people around me notice it too. I notice the smell everyday. When I go home and change my clothes its not as noticeable. I shower every morning. I'm worried the smell could be from down there.... So I use Always wipes 3-4 times a day at work
I have really bad body odor.?
buy axe or Tag. It really helps!!

Stop the stressing and go to the doctor and see what he or she can do for you.
Sorry you having this.
Reply:I've heard chlorophyll pills help with body odor.
Reply:Change your diet to exclude red meat and consume more vegetables cooked and raw. Also, eat more fruits and stay away from junk food and alcohol as much as possible. Try to find an herb tea that is a liver cleanse and use it for 5 or 10 days. When You complete all these steps you should be just like everybody else.
Reply:Why you (sometimes) smell
Every body part has bacteria that protects it from infectious agents in the environment. When that bacteria feeds on sweat and oils to live, it makes a by-product. It鈥檚 the by-product that smells. So if sweat and oils build up, bacteria multiplies and creates even more by-product鈥攇iving off a noticeable odor.
SCALP
ODOR A musty, almond smell
CURES
鈥?Wash your hair when roots get greasy. Oil, flaky skin, and sweat buildup make your hair slick, and you scalp starts to smell. This occurs at different times for everyone; straight, fine hair gets greasy the quickest because it鈥檚 easy for oil to cling to smooth hair.
鈥?Shampoo more in summer, when you sweat a lot.
鈥?Try a clear shampoo. If you wash daily and your scalp gets dry or irritated, use a clear shampoo like Neutragena Clean Replenishing. It has fewer drying chemicals.
17 TIP: If your scalp smells despite washing, see a dermatologist鈥攜ou may need help for a yeast or fungus problem.
MOUTH
ODOR A sulfury, rotten-egg smell
CURES
鈥?Brush teeth two to three times daily with a fluoride toothpaste to eliminate food bits that bacteria feeds on. Make gentle, round motions over every tooth surface (front and back) for about 10 seconds.
鈥?Brush your tongue as far back as you can reach. Food and bacteria get stuck in its grooves.
鈥?Floss once a day to remove food from between teeth.
鈥?Drink water to maintain saliva (saliva rinses away food and bacteria鈥攊f your mouth is dry, bacteria will multiply).
17 TIP: It鈥檚 hard for you to tell if your breath smells鈥攚hen you breathe out, air flows away from your nose. Ask a friend instead.
FEET
ODOR A cheesy smell
CURES
鈥?Wash feet daily with a mild (not antibacterial) soap.
鈥?Wear sandals when you can. Feet have more sweat glands than most any other body part, so it's good to expose as much skin as possible so sweat can evaporate.
鈥?Wear cotton/acrylic socks, and change them once a day.
鈥?Sprinkle absorbent foot powder inside shoes and on your feet before you put shoes on if you still have an odor problem.
17 TIP: Place shoes in the sunlight for three hours to kill odor-causing bacteria and fungi.
GAS
ODOR A sulfury, rotten-egg smell
CURES
鈥?Avoid foods like beans, onions, apples, broccoli and dairy. They're hard to break down because they contain compounds we can't digest; our bodies expel them as gas. And sulfur-rich foods, like eggs, meat and cauliflower, can produce especially stinky farts.
17 TIP: If you have a lot of gas after eating dairy, you may be lactose-intolerant (lactose is a dairy sugar). See a doctor for a test.
