Night sweats?

why does only my head sweat(a lot) when i'm sleeping?
Night sweats?
First are you a male or female, and what age are you, there can be a lot of reasons this happens to certain people,
Night sweats?
my head sweats a lot if i take afternoon naps in the summertime, but otherwise it does not, i dont know why
Reply:It happens to my son and my newphew. I don't think its to worry about...

Night sweats?

can night sweats be a symptom in the first tri-mester of pregnacy?
Night sweats?
I never had them so far at all in my pregnancy so im not sure.
Night sweats?
It wasn't for me. I did not get night sweats until into my third trimester. Your body temperature will increase as you blood volume increases during pregnancy.
Reply:Maybe...I'm first trimester and I go through periods of being very warm or freezing in my house. I know its just me because the kids aren't fussing about the temperature. A couple times I woke up sweating at night, but that was it. I'm not sure if I'd consider it a pregnancy symptom, though.
Reply:Its funny you bring this up bc I never experienced it in my 1st pregnancy but I am having them really bad right now but I am in my 2nd trimester....I think its hormones and increased body temp.

I sweat easily, is there something wrong?

Sweat while eating, while sleeping......
I sweat easily, is there something wrong?
Well no generally but there can be a glandular problem among some people who sweat excessively and without any cause. I would recommend you see your GP or a specialist but nothing threatening or dangerous.
I sweat easily, is there something wrong?
no
Reply:My boyfriend has a similar problem.

He has found that when he speaks to the doctor about it, he is told to try and loose some weight. It may be a nervous thing but if you are seriously worried, I would suggest having a chat with your doctor.

If it is underarm sweating mainly, Mitchum's deoderant is particularly good.
Reply:Only that you burn callories faster then I do and I hate you
Reply:Have you had your thyroid checked?
Reply:nope but if it bothers you ask your doctor.
Reply:Sweating is your bodies way to cool you off to maintain it's core temperature. Check the temperature in your room; it might be too hot.

Also, make sure your drinking plenty of water to replenish all the water your losing.

I sweat too much, help!!?

Almost instantly after applying my deodorant and antiperspirant[Gilette triple protection] and put a shirt on, I can feel my underarms are wet, and so is my shirt. I've changed deodorants, and antiperspirants, I've done everything I can think of, but I still sweat too much.

What do I do?
I sweat too much, help!!?
My husband is the same, he uses at least 3bottles of lynx a week. The thing with deodorants etc is trial and error, some may work for you but not for others. It may sound silly but diet has a lot to do with the way your body reacts, go on the Internet and list the main foods you eat and see what you can find out, you be having too much or not enough of something. One more thing, take no notice of idiots trying to be funny.
I sweat too much, help!!?
take a shower!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Don't worry about it, some guys just seem to sweat alot. If you shower regularly then you should be fine,You might still sweat alot but it won't stink.
Reply:yuck! Just kidding. You may sweat due to several reasons. These include, but are not limited to: medications you are taking, age, gender (i.e., post menopause in women), genetics, or other conditions dealing with the nervous system.
Reply:Shower twice daily and use Quixtar deodorant. It works well. www.quixtar.com

If that does not work, you might want to go to dermatologist.

If you dont sweat a lot does that mean you are full of toxins?

i heard that ppl need to sweat but i dont really seem to except my head and underarms. does this mean i am full of bad toxins? is it a good idea to go to a sauna every week and sweat them out?
If you dont sweat a lot does that mean you are full of toxins?
Your liver and kidneys rid your body of toxins. Sweating is a mechanism that helps regulate your temperature. If you're out in the hot sun, you sweat more, and this cools you down. People also sweat sometimes when they are in stressful situations. Induced sweating (like a sauna) has no biologically beneficial results. Some of the health nut gurus will probably tell you otherwise, but actually excessive sweating can result in an imbalance of your electrolytes.
If you dont sweat a lot does that mean you are full of toxins?
No, you silly top contributor, you. Only 30% of your "waste" comes out your pores. The rest...well, you know. You don't sweat, no sweat. The sauna could not hurt but your body knows how to get the bad stuff out...your still alive right?
Reply:No, this isn't true. Everyone sweats at different levels and someone who doesn't sweat much isn't considered unhealthy or unusual.

Though some toxins do excrete through the pores, such as alcohol, the vast majority of bodily waste is excreted, well, through normal means, if you catch my drift.
Reply:other way around!

You can talk to your Dr about getting a prescription antiperspirant. I myself use powder and deodarant . I don't sweat much though.
I sweat alot for a girl :[women only!?
I had that problem and went to the doctor and she prescribed me a liquid you roll on your armpits before you go to bed once a week and it works wonders! I think it was called Drysol or something.

Urine, Sweat Pheromone?

I heard there is powerful phormone made from men's urine and sweat, I search internet, but can't find it, I heard it is made in UK.

Any suggestion?
Urine, Sweat Pheromone?
if you cant find on internet just p1ss yourself whilst working out in the gym and watch the f4nny start flocking round you like flies round sh1t.pleas let us know how you get on.
Urine, Sweat Pheromone?
pheromones are all over your body not just in your pee, women have them too. there are some toy parties that sell the pheromone spray in their catalogs, they are supposed to smell different on everyone i almost bought some. good luck!
Reply:If you can't find it by an internet search, probably a hoax. No reason urine would be used for a pheremone, it does not contain any. The front part of your underarms contains your glands that secrete pheremones, though if you have a lot of bacteria, then body odor will mask it. SOme guys don't use deordorant for the simple reason it masks the natural scent which females like better than stinky deodorant or cologne in lab tests.

I have severe sweat attacks, not only at night but all the time, and its from my head.?

I sweat when everyone else isn't , its so embarrassing, to be standing in line somewhere and sweat is running down your face and neck, what gives?
I have severe sweat attacks, not only at night but all the time, and its from my head.?
You could be having hot flashes or hormonal imbalances which are throwing your body temps out of whack. Go to your doctor or an endocrinologist and have full blood work done. If you are in your 40s or 50s you might be starting menopause, and hot flashes and night sweats are part of this.

Why do I sweat so easily?

I sweat in the cold when I'm only a little active I sweat when I'm not even tired.
Why do I sweat so easily?
You may suffer from a condition known as hyperhydrolysis. It just means that you do sweat more than most. The palms of the hands and armpits are most affected. Your physician can give you a prescription for an antipersperant if it bothers you terribly.
Why do I sweat so easily?
maybe you drink alot of fluids??
Reply:Perhaps you should go to the docs and have your thyroid checked and they will probably run other test to!
Reply:probably your body chemistry or diet. if you eat a lot of fatty and spicy foods that can do it.

anyone take zoloft and have night sweats?is there anything that can be done?
Night sweats?
Try not taking it at night. I take it early in the morning and that helped a lot with side effects. I also take Ambien for sleep.

I had night sweats the first few days... didn't help that we're in the middle of a heat wave. Other than taking a cool shower before going to bed, and maybe trying a sleeping med, you just need to tough it out. It IS a normal side effect, though I found it's temporary.
Night sweats?
People have night sweats not on Zoloft. Have you ruled out other reasons before deciding its your meds.
Reply:If you are just starting the drug, and sweating is one of the side effects, it may go away in time. If you are within the para menopause to post menopause, that could be the cause of your night sweats. Try going to www.mayoclinic.com and read what they say about the drug, and the menopause condition. Might Help. But in till then, try running a fan in your bedroom, and keep a damp/wet cloth next to your bed to cool yourself. Good Luck

Blood sweat and tears?

is there a phrase blood sweat and tears? what does it mean exactly?if its effort what does tears stand for
Blood sweat and tears?
This was from a speech by Sir Winston Churchill and referred to the rigors of WWII which the British were going through at the time.
Blood sweat and tears?
yes
Reply:obviously it has its own different meanings and interpretations by everyone. but for me, the "blood" and "sweat", stand for hard work and perserverance in dealing with the hardships of life, and the "tears", come over as happy tears, when youve finally reached success, and a higher place where you can somewhat feel complete. Thats my view.
Reply:I don't think the tears stand for happiness. I think they stand for sacrifice, frustration, emotional investment in whatever you are expending your blood and sweat to work on.
Reply:yes, that is a phrase. it basically means you put your all into something. like for instance i'm a college cheerleader at a very competitive cheer program. we've won nationals several times in the past few years. so we're really serious. nationals is in less than a month and i broke my thumb last week! my doctor wants to put a cast on it, but this is my last ever nationals and i want to compete. i don't have time to put a cast on it. so i'm just going to suck it up until after nationals. someone might say i put my "blood, sweat and tears into it."

but it doesn't necessarily have to do with a sport. it can mean anything you put all of your effort into. maybe someone puts their "blood, sweat and tears" into their job.
Reply:You get a better feel from a little longer quote from Churchill's speech, upon taking charge of an England that was losing badly in the early months of WW II:

I say to the House as I said to ministers who have joined this government, I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering.

Keith Sweat?

Hey has anyone heard of the death of Keith Sweat?
Keith Sweat?
someone else earlier said that he died. I don't believe it though, since I haven't seen anything on the news or the internet on it.

it's probably some rumor someone started.

if it is true, I'd love to see an article on it though.
Keith Sweat?
I am sure that someone has given you wrong information. They were probably referring to Gerald Levert ,one of the members of LSG (Levert, Sweat and Gill).

I work at a hotel in Atlanta and I saw him on last Sunday at an event.

Night sweats?

Every day when I go to sleep, I'll get to sleep for 3 hours exactly, then I'll wake up in total drenching sweat, the heat has been turned down the blacnkets have been thrown off the bed (I'm only using a sheet and I turned the thermostat down to 60) I've even went and slept on the couch and it still happened. Anyone know what the cause is? Or could be?
Night sweats?
I have had the same thing happen in the past but not every night. When I went to the doctor and was checked and found nothing wrong, he told me that "it happens and we don't really have an answer". So I just changed the sheets and took off my boxers and put up with it and it eventually stopped. But having said that, you should talk to your doctor.
Night sweats?
You need to see the doc as night sweats could be a sign of something seriously wrong. See your doc and get this checked out.

While intimate, is it normal to sweat/smell??

Is it normal for me sweat a lot when "doing it?"

Do both guys AND girls sweat? or just mainly guys

Do you?

does the sweat cause a foul smell, i'm worried..

as much info as possible, please :)
While intimate, is it normal to sweat/smell??
There a lot of hard work on on there, sweating is normal.

There is no stink if you've showered or bathed. That "musky" smell is normal and part of the turn on.
While intimate, is it normal to sweat/smell??
Yes and its called doing the nasty and its all part of it. Just normal human stuff.
Reply:no

Boob sweat, how to avoid??

ok, so I have these cute little strapless sun dresses with the stretchy part on top and then the normal dress on the bottom... i can't wear a bra with them but when it's really hot I get the boob sweat lines... how can I keep the girls nice and dry without a bra?? Please let me know if you have any tips/tricks!!!!
Boob sweat, how to avoid??
baby powder is good, but corn starch is better. it's absorbant and doesn't have a smell to it. but don't do deoderant and powder together... the powder with absorb the initial moister from the deoderant rendering them both ineffective.
Boob sweat, how to avoid??
I think a bra would be worse... try baby powder and/or antiperspirant right on the girls
Reply:Wow. uhm maybe rub your antipersperant under them and put powder ther , too.
Reply:I agree with the powder solution
Reply:Try rubbing Vaseline on to your sweat lines.
Reply:try to wear some of those plastic pads that lift them and they arnt a vra and youll avoid getting them sweety
Reply:You can try using baby powder or antiperspirant.
Reply:Use body powder, they have some designed especially for sweating, I think Goldbon works well.
Reply:Strapless bra! It'll be there but it won't show!
Reply:Put baby powder under the girls, it should keep them dry.
Reply:You can't wear a normal bra with it, but have you tried a strapless bra? Or those stick on bras?
Reply:Use a strapless bra ifyou can or you can use falses they may look bigger but at least tehy wont sweat. Then put baby powder and antipersperant dry deodarant on them. Wet will make it look even wetter.

How to remove sweat stain from mattress?

My husband got sick one time so at night he sweat a lot. When I change the bedsheet, I found out that there was sweat stain left on our mattress. How can I remove the stain? What cleaning stuff should I use? Please help...
How to remove sweat stain from mattress?
He got morning sickness, huh? No idea on your question, but probably try a bit of water.
How to remove sweat stain from mattress?
you really cant they're non-washable

bye a cheap new one!!
Reply:i heard DAWN dishwashing soap is used in the hotels to remove bodily fluid stains...good luck
Reply:Just get mattress cover that blocks stains, mist, ticks, any funny tiny creatures that we can not see. I just bought one the other day due to my sweat problems. This will help you from avoiding buy new mattress in short period of time.
Reply:Hi. Check the Yellow Pages for carpet and upolstery cleaners call several for estimates on what it costs to visit your home or because my boys have "accidents" I have their mattresses cleaned twice a year by loading them in a truck and taking them in to a cleaner who also does area rugs at the same time we even take in a futon. Its worth it as this also kills dust mites and then everything seems new again.
Reply:I SELL PRODUCTS FOR A COMPANY CALLED MELALEUCA. THEY HAVE A PRODUCT CALLED SOLUMEL. IT IS GREAT FOR REMOVING STAINS. THEY ALSO HAVE A PRODUCT CALLED PRESPOT THAT WOULD HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Well if you are not real concrened with the color of your mattress the try hydrogen peroxide. By using hydrogen peroxide you are lowering the chance of wetting the mattress to much which will later cause an odor. You could also try a dryer mixture of laundry powders and water. You don't want to wet the mattress to much whatever you use. Maybe ask someone in the family if they have a steam genie. They work great for all kinds of stuff like that. I clean our bed once a year with it just to remove some of the dust mites and dead skin.

Warning about the MELALEUCA--THE WELLNESS COMPANY the products they sell are not safe and should not be used. There are several website to support this statement. Best sweat-proof eyeliner?

Whats the best sweat-proof eyeliner you have tried that you can find at a drug strore? Thanks to anyone that helps.
Best sweat-proof eyeliner?
Try Revlon Colorstay. I am a runner and a gym freak and I wear this everyday, sweat a ton, and still walk out of my workout with makeup on. It does work well.

Also, I have tried tons of other eyeliners and this one has always been the one I come back to for this specific reason- its longevity. It is also reasonably priced, compared to high end makeup brands. It will run you around 6-7 dollars and you can pick it up at a local drugstore which is also convinent.
Best sweat-proof eyeliner?
Loreal H.I.P Color Truth cream liners. I have to put a little eye makeup remover on a washcloth to get it off!!!
Reply:I know you asked for a drugstore brand but I have a department store brand that is the best I've found. Its by Smashbox and its their Jetset eyeliner. Its a gel base in a pot and you use a brush to apply it, but this stuff is majorly waterproof and doesn't come off at all.

NIGHT SWEATS why do they come at night?

when i lay down i feel my body temp going up and i start to sweat, sometimes really bad, it doesnt happen when i am standing or walking or sitting, just lying down, even with a fan blowing on me,, why is that,, it gets bad some nights
NIGHT SWEATS why do they come at night?
I'd have to know more info.

Night sweats can be caused for a variety of reasons.

Male? Female? Age? Are you a drinker? Do you smoke? Any other health complaints?

Is sweat good or bad for your body?

tell me all the bad an good things about sweat please. ty :)
Is sweat good or bad for your body?
Sweating, like in a sauna, opens the pores of the skin and allows toxins to be released. It also emulsifies fat under the skin and increases the production of collagen. So all in all sweating is very good for the body, in terms of health.
Is sweat good or bad for your body?
good-helps remove wastes from your body

bad-makes you smell
Reply:its good.. more sweat =more weight loss!
Reply:Although sweating can cause odor, it is good for the body. If you can't sweat, your body would overheat and it could kill you.

Night Sweat, feeling hot all the time, yet have chills and goosebumps every once in a while, and tired. Help!?

Last Night, I woke up in the middle of the night literally drenched in sweat. I did not think much of it, because I had a heavy blanket over me, and i think I just got too hot. Although to be sure, I took my temp. and it was 96.1 degrees. When I got back into bed (after changing the sheets), I felt hot, then cold, hot, then cold, over and over again. This morning when I woke up I felt fine. As the day went on however, my body just started to feel hot, like I was "burning up". It was OK for awhile, but now its back... I haven't taken my temperature again yet, because i have been moving around quite a bit, laundry and such. Also, I feel itchy every once in a while over different parts of my body. Recently I switched to Dial Body wash, so maybe thats that part. PLease help me....

If you still suffer from the Hot/Cold flashes, you could be dealing with your hormones....

HORMONES is the key.......

Keep an eye on it for the next 30 days, and try to log your hot/cold flashes, your normal times, and also any pills or food you eat.....it will help you to determine if there is a commonality to your symptoms......then take that log to the doctor IF you keep experiencing this.....

you had a fever with typical relapse/remitting course. Given your itch as well, you need to see a doctor and get blood tests. IF you smoke you should conside chest Xray. Tell the doctor your sexual and travel history as well. Report any other symptoms such as yellowing eyes, pain on passing water, and so on. Get liver tests. Why do i sweat so much?

Why do i sweat so much most from my arm pits and **** i'm not fat i'm not unfit even in the cold i sweat why?? and is there anyway to stop this?
Why do i sweat so much?
Try using "Certain Dri". You can buy it at any pharmacy store and mostly wherever you buy your deodorant (CVS also has Certian Dri). Apply it during your bedtime and use your regular deodorant during the day. "Certain Dri" basically shrinks and closes off your underarm pores (closing off your underarm pores is perfectly safe). But before you use Certian Dri make sure you read the instruction on the back of the box. Make sure you buy Certian Dri. Do NOT buy "Certian Dri A.M.". That is just to use during the day, NOT during your bedtime. Certian Dri A.M. is not the same as the regular Certian Dri. You do not need a prescription for this product. I use Certian Dri and it works perfectly.
Why do i sweat so much?
The quantity of the perspiration (sweat) is a function of the quantity of the

glands that a person has. This number of glands is geneticaly determined and is

different from person to person! Some have more some have less. The

functionality of this glands depends on the climate. So if one person have a

lot of them and is in a hot climate, they may perspire a lot,but if this person

goes to a cooler climate some of the glands may start "sleeping" so less

perspiration.

I am afraid that you can do nothing about it, only use the antiperspirants

the way that they work, and find a product that is effective for you!
Reply:you May have problems with dehydration or have proprietary problems

Can sweat from a girl be sweet?

Can sweat from a girl be sweet?
No. Sweat from girls is just like guys. It smells bad. Its doesn't taste sweet at all. Trust me I'm a girl who sweats all the time. (I play basketball, volleyball. And I'm a dancer and a gymnast. I also train for basketball and volleyball all the time. )

I sweat a lot and i can't wear any nice shirts i have to wear baggy black shirts all the time...?

to hide my sweat marks, its only under my arms really, i havent started shaving or nothing, is that the problem? is it a medical problem cause even when i put my roll on deo it doesnt help :(
I sweat a lot and i can't wear any nice shirts i have to wear baggy black shirts all the time...?
You could try a Deodorant called Maxim it's about 12 dollars. It really helped me.
I sweat a lot and i can't wear any nice shirts i have to wear baggy black shirts all the time...?
Botox injections in your arm pits will keep you from sweating for about 6 months. Sounds cosmetic, but research it. I've heard it's used as a medical remedy for overactive sweat glands.
Reply:try anti persperant deodourent, that helps you stop sweating.
Reply:Change your deodorant....It's not working for you.

Try Speed Stick - by mennen...and they have this deodorant for men and women....and I did not say use anti-persperant because many times that causes more sweating...and lumps under your arms...that are very, very bad.

Speed Stick - clear and has active fresh fragrant is nice....by mennen and works!
Reply:You should shave for a cleaner and not messy armpit. Even putting deo or roll can worsen the problem which is also linked to breast cancer. You should try allum powder or in stone form. Research for it. That's what I'm using for a long time and it works for me. It's a natural property for armpit. No chemicals or what so ever. It keeps you dry all day long, clean and whiter armpit. Good luck! :)
Reply:I sweat a lot under my arms only (too)....sweetie wear whatever you wanna wear, because every human on this Earth sweats!! but you should of course shave or wax under your arms (waxing better) and use deodorant...actually it's better to sweat a lot because you lose wight while sweating.

Plz don't use these stupid products that say "no sweating" because my sister is a doctor she says they keep the sweat inside the body and could possibly cause cancer.

Try (Lady Speed Stick)
Reply:It can be a medical problem, when I was younger, I had the same problem; fortunately it has gone away, but I can remember how bad and embarassing it could be.

There are deodorants out there - they don't look like normal deodorants, I think one is called Certain Dry (or CertainDri) and it's a white roll on. They are really strong and they have different directions for using them. Also, they are simply antiperspirants, not deodorants, so what they do is stop you from sweating, but if you do something really active, you still will sweat and you'll have no deodorant to cover the smell, so if you do something like that, use a normal one.

Hope this helps. I also know that you can actually see a dermatologist and they can do some laser treatment or something which actually stops it, but that's only in extreme cases.

Good luck,

Can sweat from a girl be sweet?

my friends (girls) always say their sweat is sweet, but i don't belive them. is it really true?
Can sweat from a girl be sweet?
No. Sweat from girls is just like guys. It smells bad. Its doesn't taste sweet at all. Trust me I'm a girl who sweats all the time. (I play basketball, volleyball. And I'm a dancer and a gymnast. I also train for basketball and volleyball all the time. )
Can sweat from a girl be sweet?
nope!
Reply:Hhahahahahahah

Guys do sweat but girls dont, they are "glowing"
Reply:even the hottest girl in the world sweats, and no its not sweet its salty, its just not the same for everyone
Reply:No ! I'm a lady and sweat is not sweet ! Stop listening to them they're liars!
Reply:I think it's sexy when girls sweat. Especially on their lower back and tummy. I love licking it off their bodies. Just try taste it. You'll like it.
Reply:Salty not sweet, but oh how sweet it is to make your sweet sweat.
Reply:no its just sweat, salt and water
Reply:sweat is never sweet!
Reply:yes, its salt
Reply:The saying is,"Women don't sweat, they Glisten." And no it doesn't taste sweet, just salty.

Good luck,
