Why do my feet sweat? This is an embarassing question.?

They don't sweat real bad but it is bad enough to where my feet slide around badly in flip flops. It could be 10 below outside and my feet would still sweat. How can I control this?
Why do my feet sweat? This is an embarassing question.?
Maybe you can't control it. My hands have been sweating for years. Or maybe it's the flipflops, since they are not made of an absorbent fabric, you will notice it more. Flip Flops always make my feet sweat, even in the cold.
Why do my feet sweat? This is an embarassing question.?
most likely it is the flip flops .. because they are holding the heat of your body and making your feet sweat.. eather change flip flops.. or try sneakers with socks.. some people tho.. have a medical condition .. i forget what it is called but if you google it .. im sure you'll find a better answer!
Reply:Try those flip flops that have material lining, or the ones where your feet touch on them it's like a rubber SOS pad
Reply:not enough air.....in the shoe...or just might want to change into a different kind of shoe
Reply:try to take more showers. they make theis shows were they breath u should get them.
Reply:If you are a teen or early 20's guy, it happens alot, but once the hormones settle down it eases. Older than that I think guys are just destined to have sweaty (sometimes stinky)feet.
Reply:Foot Sweating (Pedal Hyperhidrosis)

Excessive sweating of the feet is the result of over-stimulation of the sweat glands in the feet by the sympathetic nervous system. Unlike hyperhidrosis involving the hands, face and scalp, and armpits, the sympathetic nerve fibers that stimulate sweating of the feet arise from both the thoracic and lumbar sympathetic nerve chains.

Excessively sweaty palms and soles are caused by an inherited condition called dyshidrosis or hyperhidrosis. It is usually present in one of the parents - I just ask them to hold out their palms and feel them. I believe this is an autosomal dominant trait. The excessive sweating and irritation it causes to the feet often produces itching and peeling on the soles of the feet and sometimes on the hands. This condition of itching and peeling is called dyshidrotic eczema. While fungal infection can occur in these areas, usually antifungal agents don't seem to help much.

This condition can be a real embarrassment for a teenager, especially a girl who doesn't want boys to think she is so nervous about the prom. Dermatologists sometimes use soaks in 10% aluminum chloride solution. I have had some success by telling the child to find a roll-on antiperspirant (not deodorant) that contains aluminum chloride and to roll that on. It seems to work.

Why dont my armpits sweat!!!?

hey ive noticed that all other guys my age im 16 sweat like crazy from their pits and im a big and fat guy i measure 6'4 and i have some acne so its not that i have3nt hit puberty yet but my pits dont sweat they just give of a strong enough smell to make you pass out (not really but close) and im wondering if its normal
Why dont my armpits sweat!!!?
When I was younger my armpits used to not sweat. They just didn't. Then one day they did. I don't think it's normal or not normal, it just is.
Why dont my armpits sweat!!!?
You should probably get some deodorant.

And who cares if your pits don't sweat.... not like it's that useful.
Reply:If they omitt a smell, then you probably are sweating and you just dont know it.
Reply:my arm pits rarley ever sweat even during exercise. some peoples body's are just different.
Reply:maybe you just don't have some serious sweat glands like they do.. just relax... you are still sweating so it means that you are normal. you just sweat less than everyone else.
Reply:cuz your the fonz

Just use anti-perspirant with 24 hour protection.

What are some good tips to not sweat, or sweat less?

Im going to school in Arizona over the summer, this being my first summer here, and it suckssss when you have to go to class dripping sweat. Are there any tips to sweat less? Help me out people!!!
What are some good tips to not sweat, or sweat less?
Well, make sure you use an anti-prespriant, not just a deodorant. I suggest Degree. Also, use some body powder like Shower to Shower. Lastly, wear very light colored clothes made of cotton or silk, and as little as possible. Like a tank top and shorts with sandals. Also, keep yourself cool by drinking lots of cold water.
What are some good tips to not sweat, or sweat less?
use deoderant.
Reply:you are going to sweat unless you use some deodorant
Reply:Sweating is a very important body function - so dont try to sabotage it!!! The best u can do is drink lots n lots of water so ur sweat wont have any odour and then keep a deo in ur pocket - use it at every oppertunity. A roll-on is a good option! Best of luck!
Reply:Either die or remove all your sweat glands.

You're human, you're suppose to sweat it's your body's way of cooling off. You can keep some rags to wipe sweat from your face and neck and wear deoderent for under the arms, but as far as sweating less, it's not going to happen.

Oh and don't use cologne or any sort of spray to try to disguise the smell because it'll mix and be a even more horrible smell.
Reply:But it's a dry heat LOL

Why does our skin SWEAT automatically but BLEED only when the surface is punctured?

I understand sweat comes from glands and blood comes from veins but if "sweat" can come to the outter skin surface through pores, why doesn't "blood' come to the outter skin surface though pores?
Why does our skin SWEAT automatically but BLEED only when the surface is punctured?
Sweat is, as you said, created by glands. Those glands are connected to pores on the outer layer of skin, so when they secrete the sweat comes outside of the body. The mind controls this, when you get to hot.

Blood on the other hand, is in the veins. The veins are not connected to the pores on the outside of the body, so the only way that you can 'bleed' is if your vein is punctured. The veins don't secrete blood like glands secrete---whatever it is that gland happens to secrete.

If this didn't answer your questions, feel free to email me! :D
Why does our skin SWEAT automatically but BLEED only when the surface is punctured?
because blood isn't "connected" to the pore like sweat is.
Reply:Because the blood vessels are in no way connected to the pores. Sweat glands are connected to the pores.

There is no evolutionary reason for us to ooze blood from our skin. There is a reason to ooze sweat though (body temperature regulation)
Reply:Because blood is in veins, not in glands located in the pores...
Reply:Think of blood vessels as tiny little tubes. The tubes have tiny little holes in them which allows certain smallish substances to move in and out like glucose, oxygen, carbon dioxide, protein, vitamins etc. Even highly deformable cells like some white blood cells can move in and out through these holes. But the thing that make blood red, red blood cells, are too large an too stiff to move through the holes.
Reply:because you're not trying hard enough

Children who do not sweat..??

my two oldest do not sweat, they get extremely hot and nothing, their faces turn more than red and get puffy, but no sweat! you can feel a ton of heat coming off them and it looks like a bad sunburn .....my pediatrician just said force liquids...isnt there anything that can be done medically to help?

its dangerous for people to overheat,ESPECIALL in this weather!!! anyone ever heard of this?
Children who do not sweat..??
I am far from being qualified to make any medical judgements but you asked if anyone has ever heard of that.I work at a deaf and blind school as an aid.We have some very ill children there. As I understand, some of them have compromised glandular problems and are unable to sweat. All I know for sure is that it's important we do not let them get too hot or they could convulse. Not to scare you or anything, but might be important enough to see a specialist or another Dr.There might not be a serious problem but I would have it checked out.
Children who do not sweat..??
Sounds dangerous if they overheat. Have they seen someone about it?
Reply:You don't mention ages..........

Children sweat far less than adults.

You don't mention what they have been doing......

Get them to sit quietly in the shade for a while, perhaps with a wet cloth on the back of their neck and have a cool drink, water is best!
Reply:Just make them bring a bottle of water to squirt over the face and neck. As children they dont have too much sweat.
Reply:I am sixteen years old and i have anorexia. because i have messed up my body so much i also have the same problem. when i go outside with my sister to play soccer, my face gets very red and i am burning up, but i have no sweat. they may have a problem with their sweat glands. take them to a different pediatritian. it can be dangerous. until then make sure they are hydrated. good luck. i wish you the best.

Is it important to sweat a lot while working out?

sometimes i sweat a LOT and other times not as much.. my workouts are pretty vigorous, but i was wondering, if i sweat more i burned more calories??
Is it important to sweat a lot while working out?
You need to sweat so you know your body's cooling mechanism is working properly...that's no reflection on how many calories you are burning.
Is it important to sweat a lot while working out?
yes, the more you exert your body the more calories you will burn.

Why is it good to run is sweats?

I am on the wrestling team and we run and workout in sweats for 2-3 hours in sweats usually with the room at about 75-85 degrees. Yet when I go out on the track team if we are running some milage and I wear a hoodie they think its bad for me. I stay hydrated most of the time and I some evidence to prove them that running in sweats will not make you pass out, it will if you arnt hydrated though.

Any thoughts?
Why is it good to run is sweats?
When you're with the wrestling team, one of your goals is to lose weight so that you can compete at a lower weight class. By exercising in sweats, which make you, well, sweat, you are losing water and electrolytes.

Your track team is correct when they say that it is unsafe to sweat out weight (though not to run in a hoodie if it is chilly). It's also unsafe to run in a hoodie if outside temperatures are otherwise warm.

The reason for that is that thirst is something that comes after your body already has a deficit. You are already dehydrated when you become thirsty, so replenishing is harder than maintaining a constant state of hydration.
Why is it good to run is sweats?
The fabric is more of an issue. You want a fabric that wicks sweat away so that you can cool down. So, the issue isn't hydration as it is increasing body temperature. If your hoodie is made of cotton, it's a non-problem, but even the new fabrics with the wonderful wick-away features don't compare with traditional sweats.
Reply:Hydration is very important, but the reason some people run in sweats is so they'll burn more calories/lose more weight. It gets rid of more of your body's water. But you need some of that water, and you don't need to sweat too much. It's not true that the more you sweat the better. You'll just need to replace that water again anyhow.

How can I remove sweat stains?

I have a job that requires me to wear a uniform. Part of the uniform is a clip on tie. I tend to sweat alot and noticed that I get white stains on the tie. At first I thought they were from powder on my neck. I finally realized they are from sweat. I just bought a new one and the stains were on it the first night. How do you remove those stains?
How can I remove sweat stains?
Deodorant Build Up Removal

The deodorant/antiperspirant build up, which also causes yellow armpit stains, is likely caused by a combination of deodorant and perspiration. Many deodorants and antiperspirants contain aluminum salts. When these salts are combined with laundry detergent, especially in cooler water settings, they are not easily dissolved, and they remain on the fabric. To remove the stains and build up of antiperspirant, try soaking the shirts in warm water with an enzyme pre-soak product. Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. If the stain remains, dampen and sprinkle stain with meat tenderizer. Let stand for about an hour then launder again. To avoid new stains from forming, always wash the shirts in the hottest water safe for the fabric. To prevent these stains, allow your antiperspirant to dry completely before dressing. Wearing a cotton undershirt under polyester shirts will help absorb perspiration ...
How can I remove sweat stains?
Add 125ml of Chlorinated Break Cleaner to your laundry the next time you wash your clothes.

It WILL NOT harm your clothing, in fact you will notice that your clothes will be cleaner, brighter and FRESHER.

Do NOT use "non-chlorinated" break cleaner as this does not work.

If you are doing a "heavy" or "large" load, use about 200ml-225ml of break cleaner.
Reply:Make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply to the stains and let sit for about 20 minutes. Wash as usual. If the stain is still there buy regular "chalk" (which comes in many colors) and apply to stain before wearing. The chalk will not harm the material.

Does anyone experience night sweats?

My 34 year ols boyfriend as been waking up in the night drenched in cold sweat. I have asked him if he is having a bad dream or if he is hot and the answer is always no, or I don't remember. He hasn't any illnesses that would make me think it is medical, but he has HUGE amounts of stress in his life right now. Has anyone else experienced night sweats during times of stress? If so, did they go away when things became calmer?
Does anyone experience night sweats?
It sounds like to me that he has something called "CANDIDA".

In short both men and women have yest in there systems. There is good and bad yest. When the bad out numbers the good then we begin to see signs. One of them is horrible night sweats.

My wife use to drench the bed before she was correctly diagnosed with candida.

There will lie your problem. Most doctors have either never heard of it or the have been taught that it doesn't truly exists.

The sight below is just one that I found. I have not read through it however there are tons of sights out there.

In short try to get a prescription of "DIFLUCAN" from his Dr. and then have him stay away from simply sugars. The medican is an anti-fungal medication. Have him start eating things like multi grain breads not white. Stay away from sugar coated things like cereals. Stay away from putting sugar on things, use Splenda instead. Sugar in any form (almost anything white veggies, potato's, breads, fruits) will allow the bad yest to grow. When he gets his system balanced then he will be able to eat these things in moderation.

Also, he really should meet my mom. She could show him what 40 years if smoking will get you...emphysema!!! He really needs to stop. Please tell him not to smoke around you or any babies of any age.

Personal note: Yes, my wife smokes too...forbidden around any family members though. However, here is something that will help with the cough. STOP buying the packs from the store. Do to financial reasons several years ago, my wife was forced to go to one of those 'Cheap Tobacco' stores where you buy them tobacco and make your own. Well, we noticed about 2 weeks later that her cough had almost completely disappeared and she said that her urges where greatly decreased (so was our monthly bill)!!! We pay around $22 for tobacco and sleeves (the machine was a one time fee of $60.00 - there are cheaper ones) and that will make 3 CARTONS which here in OH would cost us around $115.00!!! That is a $93.00 SAVINGS, plus she seems healthier. I say it just goes to show you that the big companies ARE putting additives in the tobacco.

I wish you and him the Best of Luck!

Do some research and your local library will have FREE reading material on this subject (candida) that is where we found it and researched it. Your only about a week away from a dry bed!
Does anyone experience night sweats?
does he also have a cough? night sweats are classic indications of Tuberculosis, he may want to get tested.
Reply:I use to get them when my thyroid medication wasn't right. But now that my thyroid is stable I don't have that side effect anymore. Maybe have doctor do some blood tests.
Reply:should see a doctor
Reply:Dunno if this helps but i am a (pretty) healthy, male 28y-o and i sweat like mad every night. its worse in the summer but i still sweat in the winter too. i just always thought i was a "hot sleeper" and figured i just give off a lot of heat all the time anyway. i think its pretty damn normal, just a pain to wash the linens all the time.

What can help prevent sweat from showing underneath the arms?

i sweat a lot in public and it shows. i can be freezing and it still shows. i don't sweat at all when i'm at home. it's very uncomfortable and embarrasing.
What can help prevent sweat from showing underneath the arms?
Believe it or not, imbalances in blood sugar (diabetes or hypoglycemia) can result in sweating too much. For short term, any fabric store sells inserts one can put into sleeves (sewn in) that will absorb sweat.

If you wish more info about symptoms that may be due to blood sugar imbalances, check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org.
What can help prevent sweat from showing underneath the arms?
I am like you. I wear clothes that are not very tight at the armpits. Clothes differ in showing the sweat or not. There are clothes that don't emphasize the sweat.

it is constitutional, you can't change that, unless you use antiperspirants, which are harmful, or take off your sweat apparatus by having surgery, which is also very dangerous.

I began to use toothpaste and it is helping me, but I don't know if it is harmful or not!

What is the method to reduce the sweat??????????

i sweat alot and the main thing is my hands and feet sweats alot is there any idea to reduce it? sometimes i m not able to walk also that much it sweats..
What is the method to reduce the sweat??????????
I have heard of a procedure for hyperhydrosis, where the hands and feet are exposed to a live electrical current, and heard it was pretty effective, but have no experience myself. Talk to your doctor if you think you have hyperhydrosis, and ask for a referral.

Good Luck!!
What is the method to reduce the sweat??????????
just wipe it with your handkerchief!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:For dr. they may suggest operation on sweat gland. how about you go to a chinese physician to seek help. www.sbws.org.sg they provide low cost consultation and give good medicine.
Reply:reduce your fats
Reply:Yep! lots of sweat indicates you are weak. You should have more fat in your body are still unburnt. Further, you can look at reducing your fat in the body. Also, drink lots of water since these much energy is going out as sweat.

How come i barely sweat? even though i exersice a lot..?

daily i run and/or go to the gym... im a skinny girl.. but i rarely sweat anything... is something wrong or is it even better not to sweat?

what does that mean
How come i barely sweat? even though i exersice a lot..?
it's good to sweat. that's the way your body cools off.

but you probably dont' sweat because you are skinny.

skinny people don't get as hot as quickly so they don't sweat as easily.

My 10 year old sweats profusely, after a small amount of exercise.?

My 10 year old son becomes extremely sweaty after any kind of short physical activity (in less than 2 minutes). He is slightly overweight, but not quite obese. He loves sports and likes to play, but finds it difficult since his body seems to be overheating and his face is just becomes dripping wet with sweat.

Is there a reason why he overheats, and sweats so much? Anything to control this problem?
My 10 year old sweats profusely, after a small amount of exercise.?
Some children sweat more than the usual due to various secretion factor from the glands and there is no danger in that case. But I suggest checking up with a cardiologist for any problem in heart which can result to sweating.
My 10 year old sweats profusely, after a small amount of exercise.?
No he is pefectly fine. He has a lot fluids,. but keep him drinking fluids since he's losing them by sweating.

Does waterproof foundation keep sweat off?

sometimes i get so hot my face sweats and the foundation starts to run a little an i have to completely wash it off please help what do i do to keep the sweat off my eyes and face?
Does waterproof foundation keep sweat off?
It won't keep you from sweating. If I had a problem with my face sweating, I would not wear foundation, probably. OR, what about a powder foundation? I've never tried one, though.....
Does waterproof foundation keep sweat off?
if its water proof then .........sweat im thinking it does
Reply:Unfortunately, no. I've *never* found a foundation to help w/ that problem... no brand, no formula, etc.

If you are lucky enough to have tiny pores that are about invisible you won't have too bad of a problem. But most people aren't that lucky. ;-(
Reply:well you might want to try a powder cover up rather than a liquid....and maybe you can stop doing what ever heavy activities you are doing to make you sweat when you have make-up on
Reply:No it does not. There is not a product out there to keep sweat off your face. Sweat is a bodily function to keep you cool.
Reply:There is no such thing as waterproof foundation. Foundations can be water resistant but they cannot be called waterproof. That said, use powder foundation and try a primer underneath so it keeps the sweat and oil at bay. My recommendation is the powder compact from Chanel that does wonders for oily skin-
Reply:No, no foundation keep sweat off. But if you use waterproof it may stay on a little longer. Don't wipe you face when you are sweat just pat your face.
Reply:Waterproof foundation doesn't necessarily keep the sweat off. It's really meant for binding under the water, so it's ideal for swimming or if you are out in the elements (like rain). There are some foundations which are more "budge proof", but if you are really perspiring I would recommend that you use a lightweight tinted moisturizer instead. Laura Mercier, Tarte and Paula Dorf all make very good ones in a good range of colors, and many also contain SPF as well.
Reply:It won't prevent sweat, because that comes from inside your body and out on your skin. So you'll still sweat, but it shouldn't run. Most waterproof cosmetics require some sort of oil cleanser to remove them and sweat isn't oily.

How do i not sweat ?

i sweat and i want to know hwo to stop itt. i sweat at any temperature and stuff.

HELPP!
How do i not sweat ?
use deodorant.
How do i not sweat ?
what do u mean? where do you sweat, if its you underarms use a strong perscription strenth anti-wet deoderednt. if its in general there are special lotions that fight sweating. like this- http://www.whipwetless.com/. and after a shower/bath and after u use lotion use babypowder al around u or just where u sweat in the mornings then the deoderent and the anit-sweat lotion. because baby powder absorbs moisture.
Reply:It is impossible to not sweat there are some foods that make you sweat more then usual and sometimes if you sweat purfucely its either a genetic problem so you may want to talk to your doctor he could probably give you something to not sweat so much.
Reply:um well sweating as you know is a natural process so you can't exactly stop it, but you can control it. it's your body's way of cooling off, ask your doctor and use deodorant
Reply:Try a deodorant called Certain Dri, you can get it at most drugstores. It works extremely well but can be a little irritating at first. You use it about every other day and in between you use your regular deodorant. I sweat a lot when I'm stressed or anxious and this is the only thing that's worked for me. Good luck.
Reply:hey ,

have you heard about that site called stop sweating and start living , they offer a book that carries the same title, i bought that book some time ago and my sweating problems have gone for good, here is the link to it http://stop-sweating.co.nr , hope it helps.

How do I not sweat as bad?

I sweat quite a bit and I get pit stains a lot. It's really embarassing so I always wear baggy shirts and sweatshirts. It doesn't smell but it's embarrassing. So I was wonder if anyone had any tips on how to make myself not sweat, but still get through cheerleading practice and gym. And I've tried tons of different kinds of deodorant. I don't want to get prescripted kind... that's embarrassing and I'm only 13. So help me please?
How do I not sweat as bad?
i also sweat like crazy all i can say baking powder.
How do I not sweat as bad?
Baking powder tends to froth up and cause a white mass of foam under your armpits. Trust me I've had an excessive perspiration problem and Driclor completely got rid of it. Report It

Reply:you can get a perscription deodorant if its really that bad, just check it out with your doctor.good luck
Reply:Perhaps the exercise is the problem. Cut down on that and you should be all good!
Reply:Use anti-perspirant instead of deoderant. If the problem persists, ask your doctor. You may have overactive sweat glands.
Reply:There are a lot of medications out now that can help with sweating. Some deodorants even have some things in them that help. If it is really bad, I would go to a doctor.
Reply:Go to the doctor and get prescripted deodrant okay its not emmbarrsing get your mom to do it!
Reply:Get men's deodorant. I know it sounds strange, but it works much better than ours do because men are, of course, expected to sweat more. If this doesn't work - break down and get a perscription. While it may seem weird for you to have one, it's better to fix the problem than to continue sweating!
Reply:okay hunnn (:

i got the same problem.

i tried absolutely everything..even the mens %26amp; strong formulas

but the stuff that worked really good is these pills and perscription deoderant i got from the dermatologist (skin doctor)

its just a perscription, and it works wonders!

i know exactly how you feel and it sucksss.
Reply:Ask your chemist for Driclor or Anhydrol. These are roll-on antiperspirant solutions that contain aluminum chloride. Apply at night and wash off in the morning - and use less often as the amount you sweat subsides.

You don't need a prescription to purchase either of them.
Reply:CERTAIN DRI.
Reply:TELL ME WHEN U FIND OUT~! SAME PROB.
Reply:i had ur problem. then i switched to suave deodordant and it works really really well.

good luck!

Is it normal to sweat a ton when you first start toning??

I drip sweat everywhere, its really gross. My trainer says I just sweat more than most people. Im 5'7 140lbs.
Is it normal to sweat a ton when you first start toning??
of course its normal. We all have different levels of sweat, it just means your body heats up faster than other people's. Eventually, you will tone down and your body will adjust accordingly.

I have an extreme sweat problem. can you please help me fix it!?

Every day I have giant puddles of sweat under my arms!

The kids that I baby sit say "wow, you are really sweaty!" and I have to wear a miserable hot jacket over my shirt so people don't notice my awful sweat problem. I can never put my arms up because then it will be easier to see. Even my mom, who always says the nicest things about me will admit my armpits are horrible! Is there anything I can use to make this nightmare end? Or something I can do? Please help me! I go to camp next week.
I have an extreme sweat problem. can you please help me fix it!?
Try either Certain Dri or Secret Clinical Strength. You wear them at night and use regular antiperspirant/deodorant during the day. I like Certain Dri better, but they both work. I used to sweat a lot but using that stuff keeps me dry all day. With Certain Dri, though, make sure you don't shave right before you put it on because your armpits burn like crazy if you do.
I have an extreme sweat problem. can you please help me fix it!?
use teen spirit speed stick deodarant. it prevents u from sewating. it reallllyyyyyyy helps! trust me!!!! hope it works 4 u
Reply:there is a deo called certain dri amd also secret makes something similar to that, it's supposed to keep you dry. cost about 5 or 6 dollars though
Reply:keep your hair shaved under your arms can cause bad problem and wear a good deodorant like degree see your doctor it good be a medical problem otherwise shower more and use lots of deodorant
Reply:I have tried everything.

I use 5 different deoderants at the same time.

I have tired to use powder.

I just gave up and wore all black%26amp; jackets for a long time.

Make sure you are using antibacterial soap

I heard the new secret clinical works REALLY good, and to be honest, it isn't that expensive, about 7 or 8 dollars.

So maybe you should just try that
Reply:herbally take some SAGE

also to reduce body odor: chlorphyll and/or activated charcoal.
Reply:use deodorant
Reply:For sure, see a doctor.

Use anti-perperient deordorant.

Shower in cold or luke-warm water.

Wear light-colored clothing.
Reply:at wal-mart you can buy this stuff in the deodorant section its called Certin-dry its like a roll on deodorant but it stop excessive sweating by closing the pores. You use it at night and it works wonders I swear by it!! it only cost like $6.00 just remember not to use it after shaving even if its been a few hours cause it stings if you do.
Reply:Go to your doctor. There are special aluminum-based treatments that can help. You might also want to get checked out for a thyroid problem. I had that problem when I was a teenager and there are prescriptions topical solutions that can help. I've also found cutting down on caffeine to work as well.
Reply:I've had this problem myself in the past and deoderants won't help, they only help if you have a normal amount of sweating. Try acupuncture. I'm serious, acupuncture can help to balance you and can stop you sweating more than normal. If you are really freaked out by needles, they can give you just an herbal formula to take. It is costly, but really worth it.
Reply:Sounds like you have hyperhidrosis, the clinical term for excessive sweating. Your sweating problem is really a lot more common then you think.

I recommend trying as many different hyperhidrosis treatments as possible. I've been using http://www.megadry.com %26lt;- this. It works great so far, and it doesn't sting like Maxim, Certain Dri or it doesn't cause a rash like Drysol...

Anyways, don't worry, you're not alone, there are lot of people who suffer from hyperhidrosis, who sweat all year round...

Why do some people sweat more tahn others?

I am a face, back and chest sweaty person. We play softball and when we are done my back and my head are soaked not my armpits. My husband doesn't sweat quite as much as I do. There is this guy on our team who is skinny as a rail and he sweats allot too. Why????
Why do some people sweat more tahn others?
Some people have very active sweat glands.

Sometimes it's all over.....sometimes just in certain areas.

My face sweats a lot......but I have a very clear even complexion.....so maybe the sweating serves a purpose.

I've heard botox helps with extensive sweating.
Why do some people sweat more tahn others?
Hyperhidrosis can be caused by undiagnosed food intolerances or heavy metal poisoning. Report It

Why won't I Sweat?

I run on the treadmill, but I very rarely sweat. I don't go that fast because I don't have the endurance yet because I'm just a beginner at it. So I go at a relatively comfortable pace. How can I make myself sweat without going extremely fast?
Why won't I Sweat?
Make sure you're not dehydrated.. if you're someone who as a rule doesn't drink a lot of fluids you may become dehydrated easily without really noticing, which would make you tired more easily and sweat less. It's very important especially when exercising to get enough fluids. If you meant how do I get a good work out without overdoing things.. find a pace that you feel you can keep up for a while relatively comfortably and extend the time you run/walk on your treadmill a bit every week. You should be able to build endurance that way. If your body bothers you, you get pains in your sides etc you're probably overdoing it. Make sure you stay hydrated. It might be a smart idea to talk to your doctor about your excessive so that any health problems you have can be taken into consideration and health problems you might not be aware of can be ruled out.. especially as a beginner it's always a good idea to get some advice from people with experience (doctor, fitness trainer people like that).

Good luck!
Why won't I Sweat?
Heat.

Sweating is a biological reaction that is triggered to keep the body cool. If you are not in a warm environment and are running lightly then your body has no need to sweat.
Reply:First, keep going at the pace you're comfortable with. When you feel you're ready, turn up the speed to maybe a half-mile or full mile an hour faster than what you're going at (i.e., if you're running at 3.5, turn it up to 4.0 or 4.5). I've broken a sweat at 6.0 mph during a 10-minute run, but take things slow and gradually increase the speed over time. No need to rush.
Reply:Hey think of it as a blessing. I sweat too much it's gross sometimes. I'd LOVE to have your sweat glands. lol

I don't know how to answer your question, ask a doctor. sorry

College students that wear sweats to class....?

Does anyone else think it looks entirely sloppy when college students wear sweats to class? I understand it is more comfortable, but when did comfort take a back seat to looking presentable in public? I don't care how 'cute' or expensive your sweats are. You look like you're lounging around the house with the flu. Does anyone else feel this way?
College students that wear sweats to class....?
I you have one 50 minute class, or just one final exam on a day, then it's okay since you're at school for barely any time and it'd be useless to get all dolled up.

Sometimes you just have those days though... sigh.
College students that wear sweats to class....?
definately

im not in collage but i hate sweatpants

and pretty much, i only wear jeans except for brazilion pants, but they kinda look like jeans anyway
Reply:Why should you care? Don't you realize how destructive it is let something like that upset you?
Reply:I think people should were what they like. It also beats people dressing like total street girls. I bet some people do not like the way you dress.
Reply:hell no

comfort is key

and who dresses up for school?

its the weekends %26amp; parties you save your cute clothes for
Reply:No, who cares? Going to class is not like going to work. Get over it.
Reply:it can look really cute if you do it right.

like some close fitting (but not skintight) sweatpants with cute boots (short ones) a tank top and a tight sweat shirt.
Reply:Who cares? It's class. Of course they look sloppy, but it's really about their last chance. They can't dress that way any where else but the gym or home for the rest of their lives. Leave them alone.
Reply:I mean, since it's college i can see why people do that, but i mean i think it's important to change the clothes that you slept in ! %26amp; to shower is important but sometimes people just feel like being lazy but it's not good when it's all the time .. i mean i understand if it's early like 6 or 7 but afternoon %26amp; noon time people should dress casual
Reply:Hahaha I love this question!

And I totally agree with you!

I thought that I was the only one that thought that people in sweats look really sloppy and scrubby...

I feel like .. yeah sometimes you have that 8AM class (which I try to avoid at all times when scheduling but sometimes you have to!), and I understand that it's super early but can't we at least shower!!!!!

Some college people I've seen don't even look like they washed their faces or ... ahem... brushed their teeth =D

Now, I'm not one of those vain people but I like to look presentable, no matter the situation!!

Even Finals week!!!! (shock! =D)

BUTTTTTTTTTTT,

I totally cannot stand those girls who walk around in skirts and stiletto heels just for CLASS. ugh...

So I agree with you... let's shower, look in the mirror when you dress, and don't freaking sleep in class!!!
Reply:When your in college and under loads of stress wouldn't you just want to feel comfortable? Sure you don't have to dress that way all the time but once in a while its ok.
Reply:Wearing sweats to class looks bad IMO. To me, they're considered "sick clothes" only.

I've never like sweats, they're too bulky. But hey, whatever floats your boat. In the working world you can't wear them, so I guess enjoy it while it lasts.
Reply:I think it's a way to look cute and be comfortable at the same time. And I think it depends on what kind of sweats your talking about - those big baggy ones are NOT CUTE! But if they are the cute tight fitting ones then those are okay. Now the whole not showering thing is gross. I go to school and I wear sweats sometimes but I get ready as I normally do - I take a shower and do my make up and hair but feel like wearing sweats to be comfortable. If class is really early sometimes you just feel like wearing some sweats and flip flops cause you don't want to wear tight fitting jeans. I guess it depends on how theyre wearing the sweats. Waking up out of bed and going to class - dirty! Big baggy sweats and a huge tee shirt NOT CUTE!! form fitting sweats and a fitted shirt/tank CUTE! besides...i hate girls who get all glammed up for school...it's school....not the club!
Reply:Um, I think oit is trashy and people did that in my middle school %26amp; they do it at my high school, and not to mention they have those sloppy *** buns thrown up at the top of their hair, oh my god it lookes so trashy, like someone got dressed in the dark/ isn't looking well.

:]

FINALLY someone asked this question %26lt;3

Why does my head sweat so much?

I get sweaty everywhere like most people, but my head sweats excessively to the point of embarrassment. My hair actually ends up looking like it has just been washed and the sweat just drips off my face and the back of my neck. When the weather forecast says its going to be hot, it actually makes me feel depressed! I shower every morning, put my make-up on and do my hair but by mid-morning, I look an absolute mess! Is there anything herbal out there that would help? I have an underactive thyroid which has recently been checked so I know it's not because of that. Advice please!!
Why does my head sweat so much?
i get a similar problem with head seats and i asked in holland and barrett and they suggested ''sage'' tablets i have been on them a few days now and they said wait a month so wish me luck!
Why does my head sweat so much?
Diabetes?
Reply:comon yar "h%26amp;s cool" hay na
Reply:Your head sweats so much because heat rises. In other words your body heat rises up and the highest point is your head. You could try getting a clear deodorant and applying to your neck and across your forehead before applying your make-up. As for the hair, no ideas on that except carry one of them paper fans and fan yourself whenever possible. Or maybe a pony tail.
Reply:try tea tree shampoo and conditioner
Reply:Everyone should sweat more on their heads. You have a higher density of pores on your head than any other part of your body. Wash your hair with Tea tree and Mint shampoo, massaging your scalp thoruoghly and you should see a reduction.
Reply:the same happens to me.i am 61 and recently come off H R T. BUT I DONT THINK THATS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. I ALSO HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.BUT WHEN I CHECK IT MYSELF ITS OK .SO IT CANT BE THAT.I CAN BE DOING SOME SMALL CHORE LIKE IRONING AND THE SWEAT RUNS DOWN MY FACE UNTILL I CAN TASTE SALT. MY HAIR BEING NATURALLY CURLY .LOOKS AS IF I HAVE HAD AN OLD FASHION BUBBLE CUT HAIRSTYLE . SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE ,BEST OF LUCK.

What can cause hot sweats and cold flashes at night?

I am only 26 and for the past month since moving into my new place, every night I wake up in hot flashes and cold sweats, I keep the air on and I dont have any medical problems, could it be early menopause or me just not being comfotable in my new home?
What can cause hot sweats and cold flashes at night (drug-free)?
a diet high in sugar
What can cause hot sweats and cold flashes at night (drug-free)?
have a check up and test the thyroid....
Reply:night sweats are associated with HIV
Reply:heat stroke?
Reply:you might be having nightmares. Just because you dont remember having dreams at night doesn't mean they are not there. It is possible that since to location of your sleeping place has changed your body needs to get used to it and the nightmares will go away. I dont think you are having menopause at 26. Plus hot flashes come during the day also when you are having menopause
Reply:See your Doc. But you can rule out early menopause. Cold Flashes do not happen. Hot flashes from the top of your head to your chest. Am there now, not a pretty thing.
Reply:could you possibly be pregnant?

if not see a doctor
Reply:I would seriously get in to a Dr. Stress is very powerful and it could be the cause, but since it seems to have been going on a bit long, it wouldn't hurt to get it checked duder..Best of luck,

My son aged 12 sweats excessively in his head even with the slightest of physical exercise. What's the remedy?

This condition has been persisting since many years. He sweats in the head even while sleeping. Sometimes in winters also he sweats with slight physical activity.

this is called hyperhydrosis..and unfortunately somedr's are way too happy to operate on a healthy body. many have been disabled by this surgery. the forum listed below has an entire section on sweat and remedies for it. what works for one person may not work for all, but try different combinations..something will work =)

Go in for treatment and options.
Reply:There are treatments but it seems a little excessive..they give botox shots for sweating. At his age, give it time.

Where can I buy sweat pants for short men?

Ok. I am short. I am 5'8". I am ok with that. Really.

Sweat pants are made with a 42" inseam. On me, they bag up around the ankles. I don't sew. I don't want to spent $100 on a pair of custom sweat pants. Who the hell has a 42" inseam that clothes companies keep catering too? I don't see anyone with a 42" inseam in my neighborhood? I have a 27 " inseam.

Do you need to sweat to lose weight or have a good workout?

I've been going to the gym for about 3 weeks, when I use the tread mill, it has a ideal heart rate of 118-126 for weight loss. If I stay in this range, I don't necessarily break a serious sweat. I actually need to crank up to about 130+ to get a sweat going.

Also, I'm just speed walking in the weight loss range.....

FYI- I burn -300-600 calories depending on what weight routine I'm doing for the day.

Lost 15 pounds so far....
Do you need to sweat to lose weight or have a good workout?
Aerobic activity should be done for at least 20 minutes to start the metabolism. It really doesn't have anything to do with how much you sweat. Some people sweat more than others naturally. It all depends on your aerobic activity and it sounds to me like what you are doing is working for you. If you have lost 15 pounds already stick with what you are doing. Good luck. Keep up the good work.
Do you need to sweat to lose weight or have a good workout?
What are you talking about, "at least 20 minutes to start the metabolism"? Your body's metabolism is always working, even while you are sleeping. You've misinformed this person. Report It

Though, not sweating could mean you are not hydrated enough, and that can be a problem. Report It

I have worked out without running (lifting weights, bench pressing, etc.) and it doesn't make you lose pounds... Report It

Reply:20 minutes is way to short. And I agree with your original question, if you arent sweating, you probably arent working out hard enough. To many people "Laze-Out" or "Hang-Out" at the gym. Remember, its called a "Work" out for a reason, and you get out of it what you put into it. Report It

Reply:Nana is right about the 20 minutes, she just left out some information, you weren't misinformed. Your metabolism does go all the time, but it takes 20 minutes of aerobic exercise for you to start using FAT as your primary source of fuel instead of glucose. Report It

Reply:Perspiration will not correlation to the amount of weight you will lose. Sweating during physical exertion allows the body to remove waste, toxins, acids, and salts. In addition, sweating is to key in to regulating body temperature. Although annoying at times, sweating is a good thing. Report It

Don't worry about the amount of sweat you're producing. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine. You're doing great!
Reply:Great job and keep up the good work. While it is not necessary to pour sweat while you work out, it is important to get your heart rate up. It needs to stay that way for the duration of your aerobic activity. The temperature in the room can affect how much you will sweat. It seems to me that you are on the right track......
Reply:It basically all depends on your body, and matabolizm, some say no matter how much they exercize they still don't loose weight. It is really good to just walk, but better for the heart and lungs to really run, but if your just doing it for the weight I'd say your probably doing a good job...
Reply:its not the sweat it the haert rate you want to keep it up high ,to burn those calories.
Reply:no, not everyone sweats
Reply:I am not sure that sweating means much in a direct sense;I guess it is an indicator of work rate but individual differences would come into play so much e.g. I sweat profusely from the moment I get much of a heart rate up whereas my wife does not, she has actually lost more weight than I.
Reply:Its both interelated u see. If u work out a lot u will definitely sweat. which results in wheight loss. Do a lot of work out like jogging and skipping and lots andlots of walking. Walking is best It helps in decreasing the torsoe as well as the legs portion. Cycling also helps but in hips and legs (especially thys).

My sweat smells different?

for the last 4-5mnths my sweat has smelled sweet and sickly....its disgusting. my diet hasn't changed. i am not taking any medication. what could it be?
My sweat smells different?
You should definitely see a doctor.

Sometimes sweet smelling sweat can imply diabetes, because your body is trying to rid excess blood sugar. If you have been urinating more, or feeling more fatigued, these are also signs. I'd strongly recommend seeing a doctor.

It may be nothing, but it can't hurt to get checked.

Night sweats, dizzy, feeling like im in a different world?
Could be a wide variety of afflictions... No way, anyone on here can accurately diagnose and treat your problems. Get to a doctor - stat! (They always say "stat" on doctor shows. Does it make me sound medically skilled? Well, I'm not!)

Why does my sweat smell like ammonia?

i am 45 male, fair health, and the last few weeks my sweat smells like ammonia instead of sweat, any ideas why?
Why does my sweat smell like ammonia?
because sweat has urea ,uric acid and other ammonia based waste products.plus water in sweat breaks down urea to ammonia so aftyer sometime sweat stinks!!!

its pretty normal i think,,,the weather must just be very hot;)
Why does my sweat smell like ammonia?
What do you mean by "fair health"? Do you have liver or kidney failure? These are two immediate causes that come to mind. Have you talked with your doctor?
Reply:have you thought to ask your doctor I don't think that this is something you should be asking strangers to answer call your doctor and ask him you are 45 after all you should know better
Reply:sometimes you body will let out some alcohol throught the sweat glands have you had a lot to drink in the past week or so? well if so that could be what it is
Reply:You may have diabetes acidosis, get tested. People with diabetes have "sweet" smelling sweat.

This is quite serious and can rapidly lead to shock so I'd get a diabetes check NOW.

14 and i sweat A LOT! hav tried mitchum nd it got rid of da smell but not the wetness!! ne ova ideas pleez!?
Try Secret Clinical Strength. I started using it because I can't stand being wet under the arms. It is wonderful!
Reply:use adidas deodarent it works for me i sweat a lot also get the 3 action one though
Reply:Talk to your pharmacist. They can sell you some over the counter aluminium preparations.
Reply:Hi, not sure if this will help you like it helped me, but here you go anyway... I used to wear my thick woolen jumper (uniform) to work on the hottest days in summer and even on the coldest days in winter to cover the sweat patches that would invariably appear on my work shirt - regardless of which type of deodorant I used (and believe me, there were many...). One day I was shopping in Dimmeys and thought I'd try the Rexona Women Body Responsive "invisible solid" stick anti-perspirant %26amp; deodorant. It has another language written on the front with it (perhaps french?) aswell as the back. It is not available in our normal supermarkets so I have searched around everywhere for it. I found it in Dimmeys (as I said earlier) and I also found it in my local Go-Lo. I bought about 8 of them when I found it!!! It has really changed my life (sounds dramatic but seriously true). I can now wear any top without having to stress that I'm going to embarress myself, again.

Hope this helps. :)

Excess Sweat?

Can anything be done about this, i cant wear any other color shirt besides black in the summer because of all the sweat... i heard of this oil you put on your self, Anyone know what its called or have another idea for a medicine
Excess Sweat?
firstly use a 24 hr god quality deodorant!

secondly if you have a medium amount of under arm hair trim it!

it stores bacteria which creates odor.

change your clothes if your sweating too much (duhh!!)

hmm make sure you shower thouroghly underarms etc. Don't leave any spot that smells can hide dirty! also black shirts in the summer, uhh isnt a good idea they absorb more heat thus making you SWEAT soooo wear bright colours i'd reccomend white ;) good luck
Excess Sweat?
Nick, you may have Hyperhidrosis.

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that is characterised by excessive sweating or perspiration, in excess of the normal needs of the body.

It is classified as either primary or secondary hyperhidrosis. Primary hyperhidrosis is not due to any particular underlying reason, and can result in excessive sweating in the palms, feet, underarms, face and scalp. There is usually an associated family history. Sweating usually affects both sides, and is less at night than during the day. Secondary hyperhidrosis is a result of an underlying medical condition such as infection, endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders, neoplastic diseases, neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, cardiovascular disorders, respiratory disorders, anxiety and stress. The treatment of secondary hyperhidrosis will require treatment of the underlying problem or cause.

The rates of primary hyperhidrosis are estimated at 3% of the population, the age group most affected is from 18 to 54 years.

I think they can stop it by injecting Botox.

Take a look at the link below.

How to remove sweat stain from mattress?

My husband got sick one time so at night he sweat a lot. When I change the bedsheet, I found out that there was sweat stain left on our mattress. How can I remove the stain? What cleaning stuff should I use? Please help...
How to remove sweat stain from mattress?
He got morning sickness, huh? No idea on your question, but probably try a bit of water.
How to remove sweat stain from mattress?
you really cant they're non-washable

bye a cheap new one!!
Reply:i heard DAWN dishwashing soap is used in the hotels to remove bodily fluid stains...good luck
Reply:Just get mattress cover that blocks stains, mist, ticks, any funny tiny creatures that we can not see. I just bought one the other day due to my sweat problems. This will help you from avoiding buy new mattress in short period of time.
Reply:Hi. Check the Yellow Pages for carpet and upolstery cleaners call several for estimates on what it costs to visit your home or because my boys have "accidents" I have their mattresses cleaned twice a year by loading them in a truck and taking them in to a cleaner who also does area rugs at the same time we even take in a futon. Its worth it as this also kills dust mites and then everything seems new again.
Reply:I SELL PRODUCTS FOR A COMPANY CALLED MELALEUCA. THEY HAVE A PRODUCT CALLED SOLUMEL. IT IS GREAT FOR REMOVING STAINS. THEY ALSO HAVE A PRODUCT CALLED PRESPOT THAT WOULD HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Well if you are not real concrened with the color of your mattress the try hydrogen peroxide. By using hydrogen peroxide you are lowering the chance of wetting the mattress to much which will later cause an odor. You could also try a dryer mixture of laundry powders and water. You don't want to wet the mattress to much whatever you use. Maybe ask someone in the family if they have a steam genie. They work great for all kinds of stuff like that. I clean our bed once a year with it just to remove some of the dust mites and dead skin.

Warning about the MELALEUCA--THE WELLNESS COMPANY the products they sell are not safe and should not be used. There are several website to support this statement. This kind of oil can cause serious health problems in pets, such as weakness, paralysis, liver injury, and seizures. That is from the ASPCA so if it can harm animals then it may harm humans also.
Reply:Here is an article on mattress cleaner to remove sweat stains:

Reply:I think you should try a steam cleaner. Otherwise, you are stuck purchasing a mattress pad. Which in hindsight, you should have placed on the bed anyway.

Why do i sweat in my underarms so much?(even in the winter)?

everyday when i get home from school i have sweat stains down to my boobs!?!?!i have tried lots of dodarants like arrid, ban, mitchum, NOTHING WORKS! why do i sweat so much---anything else i can use?
Why do i sweat in my underarms so much?(even in the winter)?
I have the same problem. I use something called certain-dri. I get it at the local drug store. You put it on at night before you go to bed (it stings a little) then in the morning you put on your regular deodorant/anti-perspirant(make sure it is an anti-perspirant). You have to use the certain-dri everynight. If this doesn't help a doctor can prescribe a prescription deodorant called drysol or other brands. Also, if your parents would let you or if you are old enough you can get botox injections in your armpits to stop the sweating. I'm too much of a chicken to do that, but many people have.
Why do i sweat in my underarms so much?(even in the winter)?
a prescription called DRYSOL

it works FORREAL

if it doesn't work or your body build up a tolerance sometimes there are botox injections you can get under you arms that stop sweating

i feel ya
Reply:Profuse sweating such as this can also be due to a medical condition. Please talk to your family doctor about this.
Reply:Dont ever, ever use deoderants! They cause breast cancer and make you sweat more so you can use more deoderant! I think the reason why you sweat so much is probably because you are active. This is really healthy for you to sweat so don't go overboard about sweat stains. It's healthy. Last of all, don't use deoderants!
Reply:some people just do that. Antiperspirants help more with moisture. I have a friend who does that and he buys pantyliners and puts them in the armpits of his shirts. Helps a lot.
Reply:sounds like you may have hyperhydrosis...excessive sweating. It can be controlled with prescriptions or boxox injections...worse case scenario involves removing your sweat glands.
Reply:Many do, male and female. You might want to talk to your doctor about this. Many times when this is presented, it is because of elevated anxiety. An anti anxiety drug like Zoloft might just make the problem go away.
Reply:check with your doctor and depending what is causing it you might be able to use aluminum chloride (Rx) .

Night sweats?

I am doing research for university and part of it is to investigate how night sweats affect people. I am interested to hear from individuals who suffer from these! How do they affect you? What do you have to do when you have them, and does this affect your day in any way? As much info as possible will be greatly appreciated!!
Night sweats?
Six years ago when I started going through menopause, I would wake up throwing my covers off, and covered in sweat. I felt like someone lit a match inside of me, and it was spreading throughout my body. When that happens at night, it destroys your sleep pattern, and leaves you very tired during the day. Then to make it worse, every little thing that upsets you brings on the hot flashes as well, and then you just cant function because of being uncomfortable, and it also affects your mind making you forgetful. You may not be doing research on Menopause, but that is the only time in my life I had night sweats, day sweats, and just feeling plain sick most of the time. I had to see my doctor and get on hormones. Now I'm alert at work, I have my normal energy, and sleep all night, except when my German Shepherd decides to get me up to go outside, which I would welcome anyday compared to waking up sweating! It doesn't have to do with size or weight either. I'm small a size 6, its just a hormone thing, and its worse for some people than others. Hope this helped your research some.
Night sweats?
**** i dont know maybe were just to hottt to handle for the bed and room
Reply:i have suffered these symptons for yrs. somtimes i feel drained and dehydrated when i wake. i lose alot of sleep, wakingt up wet. ive had dozens of test and everything came back normal. i guess im just unlucky in that department. hope that helps in some way.
Reply:I'm 61 years of age and have been having 'night sweats' for the past 10 years. I'm post menopausal so that shouldn't be an issue, but is part of it. I awake at least 4 times during the night to throw covers off and to lay my wrists on the cold brass headboard to cool down. Then I get chilled and have to cover myself again. Since my sleep pattern is disrupted by these 'fun' times during the night, I feel the need to nap every afternoon. I am retired, so my grogginess in the morning at least isn't a driving issue. I seem to have high energy until about 2pm, then spiral down for a rest. After about an hour of zzzz's I'm again energetic to finish the day. Oh, how I look forward to (not) another restless night of sleep. Oh yeah, my husband says sleeping next to me is like sleeping with a broken Easy Bake oven!
Reply:I started suffering from a night sweats some years ago, i am 44. it might be due to my high blood pressure, to my age - pre menopausal, or it is simply too hot in my room. i think, it is a combination of the first two. sometimes, when i wake up at night, i just change my nightgown and it wont happened more than once. during a day is unpleasant, because i just feel, that is 95 Fahrenheits out there. i try to drink something cold, open a window and such. there is not much you can do about it. i like to take my meds as little as possible, so i don't take meds for this heat attacks. feels very unpleasant tho, during day it comes four or five times and mostly only while having PMS
Reply:hi! when i was going through menopause i had a lot of hot flashes occur, most of these happening at night.they made it very uncomfortable for me ,i would wake up at night soaking wet and id have to change my night clothes.i would get hot from the neck up and start sweating.i still get them but not as often.i hope ive helped you.

I sweat excessively in my underarms,so bad that my shirts r soiled,is there a remdy to this problem,?

i sweat excessively in my underarms,so bad that my shirts r soiled,is there a remedy to this problem,i use speed stick and also shave my arm pits,i am really scared ,is it a medical condition,is there a natural remdy to this problem please help me
I sweat excessively in my underarms,so bad that my shirts r soiled,is there a remdy to this problem,?
I don't think sweating a lot will hurt you, but I have heard of people getting botox injections in their pits if the sweating is really bothering them. That wouldn't be considered a natural remedy, I guess. But, no, just cuz you sweat a lot doesn't mean you have to be scared. It's not a sign of a disease or anything.

Maybe try other brands of deodorant and make sure it has 'antiperspirant' in it. Also, wear a t shirt underneath your shirts.
I sweat excessively in my underarms,so bad that my shirts r soiled,is there a remdy to this problem,?
it's called excessive perspiration, and it's nothing to worry about. But if it bugs you, ask your doctor for a botox injection in your armpits. This should take care of it. Sure, it costs a bit... but it's only money.
Reply:If deodorant doesnt work..

Excessive Sweating Underarm or Axillary Hyperhidrosis involves extreme dripping sweat in the armpits with constant odor that is usually resistant to all deodorants. Sufferers often experience excessive sweat dripping down the arms and chest, preventing them from wearing certain fabrics or colors. This also causes staining and rotting of clothing. Caused by the sympathetic nervous system's over stimulation of the sweat glands, the condition may be aggravated by anxiety, but it can occur without it. Axillary sweating may be present alone or in conjunction with any or all other types of hyperhidrosis. Each patient has to be evaluated individually to determine if they are candidates for the ETS.
Reply:Prescription grade antiperspirant or wear an underarmour shirt.

Not only do they pull sweat away from your body...they look hot too.

http://www.underarmour.com
Reply:You can get prescription strength antiperspirant. There is also a procedure where Botox is injected into the nerves of the pits to paralyze them so you don't sweat. It has to be repeated every few weeks. A surgery is also being performed where they sever the nerves altogether. Ask a doctor for help discussing your options.

What do you do if you sweat alot?

even if it's not hot its like sweat, sweat, sweat.....sometimes i have to avoid wearing certain shirts. I don't know what to do! PLEASE help %26lt;3
What do you do if you sweat alot?
Ask your doctor for DRYSOL...it is a prescription deodorant. You dab it on at night, it stings a bit, and you dont sweat at all the next day. My friends and i always had sweaty pits in college so we all asked our doctors for this and it works like a miracle!!

If not that, my favorite deodorat that makes me not sweat is DEGREE "click click" soft dry. Not gel, but the soft white stuff that you click out. The powder smell is the best.

Try it.
What do you do if you sweat alot?
wear anti perspirant deodrant and cool clothes, by which meant clothes that keep you coool. : )
Reply:Try different Deo's untill you find one that works.
Reply:I can empathise, I also get a bit too hot, mainly on my journy to work, or embaressing situations, and in the summer I get really paranoid about the small of my back getting damp patches.. It is also worst when I am due/on my period. There are good deodrants reduce the sweating, one is called Drizodole (i think) or Mitchum is a bit more cheaper. Dont worry, everyone sweats.
Reply:I am just like you...I found out about this medicate antiperspirant called Maxim. I ordered it online(the only way you can get it i think) and started using it. If you do order it, its about 13 dollars and only apply a little bit before bedtime. I have seen clear results and hope you do to. Good Luck

PS. Heres the site: http://www.coradhealthcare.com/
Reply:have a shower
Reply:For the most part is a nervous condition.

But, you may need a prescribed antipersperant.
Reply:secret platinum with olay works for me. i sweat a lot and this worked for me
Reply:degree for women

it is body heat activated

i use it and i always use to sweat really bad

Theres this girl thats in my class that was wearing these really tight sweat pants what were up her ****. Every time she would walk by I would stare. So I think her friend told her that I was staring. What can I say to her? Dont you guys just love when girls were those pants that go up there **** though!!!!
Tight sweat pants?
Tell her you like her taste in clothing.
Tight sweat pants?
Not comfortable wearing tight clothes and doesn't look good in my opinion.
Reply:Girls like that wear tight sweatpants to attract attention. It worked, because you kept staring. I find it disgusting to see a female dressed like that. They must be so starved for attention that they have to call attention to themselves. I'm no ogre, but what happened to girls who dressed ladylike? What happened to the guys who liked to see a gal dress ladylike? Up the **** pants? Good grief!!!!!
Reply:tell her she looks real good in them pants...she'll smile. if she's not wearin them ask her what happened to those pants she looked so good in. i love when a girl's pants are up her a$$...makes me wanna be them pants. and to Shortstuff who asked "what happened to the men that liked seeing a girl dressed ladylike"...the men are all marching in the gay pride parade

Night sweat?

recently i found kind of lump in my armpit.iam not sure wether it is a lump or not because it doesnt feel hard .it just look like lump and i also sweat alot at night times.iam pregnant aswel(25)weeks can that be the reson plz help me out thanks.
Night sweat?
If you are pregnant, I hope you are making regular visits to your OB-GYN. Please ask him/her. The lump is probably a swollen lymph node, which could be caused by a number of things. You must worry about the welfare of your baby as well as yourself now. Act responsibly.
