Is sweat a turn on for you?

I find the smell of sweat on a guy as a sort of turn on. Not the smell that suggests being dirty, just the smell of a good work out or honest days labor? Is this normal?
Is sweat a turn on for you?
Amber is right in her answer. Most women dont%26#039; like to admit it and really don%26#039;t understand. That funky/sweaty scent from a man is a real turn on. There is nothing like the scent of your mans balls or his underarms. It%26#039;s the pheremones.It%26#039;s just your natural attraction to your mate. Everyone has their own unique scent. That doesn%26#039;t mean you can go around sniffing every man%26#039;s arms pits or balls. LOL.
Is sweat a turn on for you?
yea its normal, i suppose, but i think they stink, so i dont think its at all a turn on
Reply:no. you should go ask a therapist or just maybe it might be normal.
Reply:sure, it is normal. to each his/her own right?!
Reply:depends on who is doing the sweating
Reply:Yes it%26#039;s very normal...pheromones come out through sweat.

I sweat alot and my cars?

interior is leather...does sweat damage the leather in any way??
I sweat alot and my cars?
Water can damage virtually anything. Try to wipe up any excess of sweat, and treat your leather. Why are you sweating so much, turn up your A/C.
I sweat alot and my cars?
not in cars...they get leather protectant before they leave the assembly line
Reply:Shouldn%26#039;t ruin it, but the salt might discolor it a little. Try saddle soap.
Reply:but you should put some more leather protectant on there every month or so
Reply:put 100%, cotton towels over the seats during the hot days, change them often, they will smell of sweat after awhile.

spray leather, w/ FABREEZE,

let it dry before putting towels on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. don%26#039;t soak the leather.
Reply:Wipe off the sweat when you can and treat with a leather cleaner once in a while. Does driving make you anxious causing the heavy sweating?

Is sweat fat??

When you sweat are you losing fat??
Is sweat fat??
No.
Is sweat fat??
no its the liquids you drink coming out of your body thats why you lose weight when you sweat.
Reply:no its all the water weight in ur body

鈾?br>Reply:no sweat is your built in air-conditioning
Reply:your not losing fat you are losing the liquids in your body. When you sweat you loose weight.

Sweat also cleans your skin.

Make sure you always drink enough water so you still have enough liquids in your body.

I sweat too much?

I sweat way too much from my hands armpit and feet everyday. My hands and feet are also cold and clamy when not drenched. Usually this slows down at night but during the day it gets in the way alot. I am currently seeking treatement through accupuncture. Does anyone know if this will work?? I have tried antipersperants but they contain aluminum which is not very good for you. If you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it!
I sweat too much?
I used to have a problem with sweating underneath the armpits. I get the feet and hands a little too, but not as bad. It was mostly in my Teens, early 20%26#039;s. I went to a dermatoligist and he gave me a product called %26quot;Drysol%26quot; (I think thats the name at least). It was something that you put underneath ur arms that would completely dry it up. It takes ur body about a month to get used to it, so you may develope a rash, but the doctor can perscribe a lotion to help with that. I used it for about 3 years. I no longer have to use it at all, I still sweat under my pits, but not prefusely. If that products still around, I would highly recommend it.
I sweat too much?
You can get Botox on your underarms to control the sweating, I saw it on Dr. 90210 (I know not the best of sources.) After it was injected the Dr. said it would take a couple of weeks, but thereafter the sweating will completely stop for 6 to 9 months.
Reply:What you have is possibly (most likely) hyperhidrosis. 3-5% of the world has it too, including me.

I don%26#039;t know if acupuncture will work, but here are some things that people with hyperhidrosis are often treated with and that actually help:

Armpits: you can get botox injections that disable the sweat glands that are overreacting. This is usually /the/ answer for most people suffering from axillary hyperhidrosis (armpits). You have to renew the injections every 6 months. There are rumours that it causes breast cancer and all kinds of other illnesses/diseases blabla, but they%26#039;ve been greatly proven as untrue. I plan on getting this soon too. You can also get an operation that cuts through some nerve, but there are lots of negative things about it, so botox seems the best solution.

Some people say that antiperspirants help, but I find they only improve things minimally. It%26#039;s good if there%26#039;s aluminium in there, because that%26#039;s one of the things that battles sweat effectively because it kills bacteria/germs or something like that.

Hands: Luckily, I only have HH mildly on my hands, but I still got some infos on curing it. Thers this thing called %26#039;Iothoporensis%26#039; or something like that, where you place your hands on this screen and it disables the nerves there too. That%26#039;s a method that works extremly well, apparently, but few doctors are able to do it.

Feet: same as hands.

I really can%26#039;t tell you enough, except that you are not alone and that there are ways to cure it. Here are some really great links that helped me heaps to deal with it and to further inform myself.

http://www.sweatypalmdiaries.blogspot.co...

This is a really great blog about a woman living with hyerhidrosis. She updates every now and then and when I started reading it, I felt really happy because the things she described where exactly the problems I had. (but it%26#039;s more focused on palmar hyperhidrosis)

http://www.sweathelp.org/English/

Another amazing site. There is so much information here. You can read up on all the cures to hyperhidrosis, pros and cons, and you also get tips (like what kinds of clothes to wear so that air can circulate etc.). Just wander about here and you%26#039;ll get a lot smarter.

And then there%26#039;s plain old wikipedia. It%26#039;s the most scientific explanation to HH. It was my first stop when I first realised that I might have it.

I hope this helps. I know what%26#039;s it%26#039;s like and I know how terrible living with HH is. Good luck :).
Reply:There are two main reasons why we perspire, firstly the core body temperature rises and causes perspiration to promote cooling by evaporation, this is on sign of shock after some trauma the second main reason is that we are doing a job that is a bit heavy and often when your hands are involved they become hot and sweaty, with the feet it maybe because the socks you are wearing are to heavy for your feet and the reach the temperature that causes perspiration. This is all based on the fact that you are a normal healthy person. If you are not a normal healthy person then you have a problem that is affecting your metabolic system that you should get a doctors opinion about.

**** sweat?

During sex or working out I get BAD **** sweat. I know it%26#039;s disgusting, but I would really like to know how to prevent this, and if not prevent it, reduce it, because it%26#039;s extremely uncomfortable.
**** sweat?
I know this is going to sound weird, but try baby powder or cornstarch to absorb the sweat. Outside of that, there%26#039;s not really much you can do.
**** sweat?
botox can be a long term fix but is expensive and kind of embarrasing otherwise babypowder
Reply:well, have you tried Gold Bond powder? I have heard it%26#039;s really good and keeping sweaty areas dry.
Reply:You can go to the dermatologist and ask them for an injection for reducing sweat. But it%26#039;s not permanent you have to continue going back once in a while.

I sweat alot,How to overcome?

i sweat alot at the armpits, which totally sucks.

whenever i just step outside my house for a lil while,i%26#039;l also get wet around there.it%26#039;s also kind of embarrasing when i go out with my friends, and my confidence is beggining to drop. What kind of deodeorant should i use, because the ones which i am using now don%26#039;t work, but makes it worst
I sweat alot,How to overcome?
i had the same prob. for years until my mom told me to try certain dry they sell it in most supermarkets and its in a roll on which you put on before bed and by morning you dont sweat at all,it might sound crazy but ive been using it for 3 years now and i never sweat at all, good luck

Night sweats?

i am a 31 year old man and i wake up soaked in sweat 2 or 3 times a night, to the point I have to change me sheets and clothes. is this a medical or psychological problem?
Night sweats?
I%26#039;ve had the same problem most of my life. I%26#039;ve been through a lot of bed pillows and cases, and a lot of sheets. Of course I use a replaceable mattress pad. I found out later in life than I%26#039;m diabetic and that could be the problem. Please see a doctor and have them to do some tests, like blood sugar and A1C.
Night sweats?
Sounds like a medical problem. See your doc and get checked out.
Reply:possibly both or one or the other

see your MD to get the physical checked out 1st

then take it from there
Reply:Do you drink a lot?
Reply:IS THE HEATER ON?

otherwise it could be both a medical and a pschological problem

maybe u should see a doctor and get that check out

try taking a nice cool shower before going to bed
Reply:this could be a side effect of a serious medical condition. You should see a doctor soon.

How to eliminate sweat?

I am 220LBS, I sweat a lot when I go out dancing, and clubbing...it鈥檚 embarrassing. Besides just me being fat, is there anything else I can do? Is simply losing weight the answer? I have seen other people who sweat that are not fat. Am I lacking something? Or Am I having too much of something? Maybe I鈥檓 drinking too much liquid? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
How to eliminate sweat?
sweating is a natural occurance. it happens to everybody. your weight does not have anything to do with it. try talking to your doctor because it%26#039;s possible you have a sweating condition. they can prescribe a prescritption deordorant.
How to eliminate sweat?
The more you exercise, in the long run you will sweat less and less when your body gets more heathier as time goes on.
Reply:Do you consider yourself out of shape? Do you breathe heavily when dancing and doing physical activities? If so then you need to do more cardio so your body won%26#039;t be trying so hard to keep up with what you want to do. In my opinion the sweating is because you%26#039;re either (a) out of shape and therefore the activities like dancing that you like to do are more of a workout then for most cause your body has to actively move around 220lbs which is not all too easy or (b) some kind of gland / hormone issue. I%26#039;m not a doctor. Just my opinion.

HELP! sweat stains on competitive gymnastics leotard?
Does everyone have stains, cause if its like that then it shouldnt be a problem...

But if it is, and normal deodorants dont work..

you can go to your local dermatologists

they have great products for oversweating...

heres some more help

http://www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C511064....
Reply:I am a competative gymnast too, and i also get bad sweat stains. If the sweat stains get really bad usually i try and dry it by lifting my arms cooling myself down and going to the bathroom everyonce in awhile to wipe my underarms. I hope this helps and good luck at your meet.
Reply:maybe soak your leotard in water with baking soda or oxyclean in it (I haven%26#039;t had to wash leotards in years so use an old one to make sure it will work).

Secret has a new prescription strength anit perspirant, and I%26#039;ve seen it at Target.

Good luck
Reply:Don%26#039;t be embarrased by sweat patches under the arms of your leotard. Concentrate on doing well in the competition. I for one find sweat stains quite a turn on.
Reply:Don%26#039;t feel bad it happens to the best of us! Wear 24 hour protection spray on deodorant. Also try wearing a shirt under neath your leotard. Maybe the shirt will catch the sweat! Like im a cheerleader and i sweat alot so i wear a shirt under my practice uniform to catch the sweat!
Reply:You do not worry! The stains are very exciting when the gymnasts make their exercises.

It gives best of you in the competition and good luck!

Removing sweat marks of white clothes?

How can I remofe the yellow/brown sweat marks off my brothers taekwondo uniform?

i have sprayed the underarms with pre wash spray each time i wash, i pause the washing machine to allow it to soak...

I am not sure about bleaching the whole top, because it has coloured badges that i don%26#039;t want faded or to lose their colour.

Can anyone help me with any suggestions, please...
Removing sweat marks of white clothes?
Yellow underarm shirt stains are likely caused by a combination of deodorant and perspiration. Many deodorants and antiperspirants contain aluminum salts. When these salts are combined with laundry detergent, especially in cooler water settings, they are not easily dissolved, and they remain on the fabric.

To remove the stains, try soaking the shirts in warm water with an enzyme pre-soak product or rubbing the soiled area with white vinegar. Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. If the stain remains, dampen and sprinkle stain with meat tenderizer. Let stand for about an hour, and launder again.

To avoid new stains from forming, always wash the shirts in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Also, allow antiperspirant to dry completely before dressing:)
Removing sweat marks of white clothes?
Shampoo or ivory soap with a toothbrush. Those are made to clean body soil and that is what I used for my husbands ring around the collar. Bleaching is a mistake as it not only ruins the patches but will yellow the fabric more. There is a product at the Dollar Store called M30. It comes in a small tub and is a sort of balm. You can use that with a toothbrush as well. It gets lots of stains out even blood. Despite popular belief, you should wash it in cold water as hot sets the stains and fades the patches.
Reply:I read somewhere that sweat stains can be removed by soaking garment in half warm water and half Vinegar.Make sure water isn%26#039;t too hot.I would say half a bucket, and about 3 Tablespoons of ordinary Vinegar. Good Luck!
Reply:sometimes it is the deodorant that is leaving the stains....put your deodorant on and let it dry before getting dressed.....i put mine on as soon as i get out of the shower
Reply:Use a colorsafe bleach, to bleach out or discolor the stain without discolorizing the colored parts.
Reply:Soak overnight in NAPPY-SAN
Reply:I use oxy clean and laundry soap. Soak it overnight in a mixture of both. In the morning add more of it to the stain itself then scrub and wash it with more of the same. It worked wonders on my daughters white soccer uniform on old sweat stains.

Excessive Sweat???

Alrit, this is kinda sad! But, I have a friend who sweats A LOT! I mean when she lifts her arm, her armpits all wet! I try to give her some hints, you know, like to keep her arm down! People also make fun of her sometimes...that sucks the most! Well she once told me that she uses anti perspirant + deodrant + body spray! Anytips you guys have that I can tell her about!?
Excessive Sweat???
This is a medical condition and has nothing to do with poor heigine. I have this problem too and went to see my doc.

Basically he will give u a special roll-on which u only use sparingly a couple of nights a week. What it does is it reduced the activity of the sweat glands inside the armpit. Excessive sweating is a highly embarrassing condition and people mistakenly think it is bcuz of hairy or unclean armpits.

I used to try all kinds of roll-ons and sprays including the heavy Mens stuff but they just make it worse. So then I found out from somebody that the doc will help. Consequently u can also buy it over the counter at good pharamcies, it is something called Perspirex i think but u MUST use it according to the leaflet, otherwise it causes irritation and burning feeling.

Hope this helps :)
Excessive Sweat???
tell her to try different things .it may not be working for her.
Reply:Botox injections work...tell her to see a dermatologist.
Reply:She may be overweight and her body weight is making her sweat or she needs to try a new product.
Reply:Tell her to lay off the red meat, and leave the salty, fried, and fast foods alone and drink lots of water and eat fruits and veggies. Take multi vitamins and if she%26#039;s not overweight, see a doctor. My father sweats easily and heavily, but he ate LOTS of the wrong foods. We don%26#039;t realize that our bodies are like cars, put in good stuff and it%26#039;ll run good a long time.

Machines to stop sweat?

I have heard about machines that stop sweat like drionic, and I was wondering if anyone has tried any of them. I am 13 and I am embarassed about my problem, so I haven%26#039;t even told anyone in my family. I am just wondering if anyone has tried devices like this. I sweat in my armpits, hands, and feet so if anyone has all those three areas and it worked please tell me. Thanks
Machines to stop sweat?
Well I saw once on TV about getting botox in your armpits and it stops sweating because well it%26#039;s botox.
Machines to stop sweat?
well i haven%26#039;t heard about this machine drionic, but i have tried some aluminum hexahydrate solutions on my hands and armpits to dry up sweat. I too have hyperhydrosis(excessive sweating condition) and here i am at 18 still battling embarassment of shaking hands with ppl or performing in front of people. I am constantly concious about whether someone is watching the movements of my hands and seeing whether they are sweating or not. This solution i mentioned earlier does work depending on how much you excessively sweat and how well you administer the treatment of it, but only temporarily even with repeated use. so if you use this type of solution for a week every night before you go to bed, it will probably keep your hands dry for about another week w/o application. Umm... the best bet would be to urge to your parents and your physician the seriousness of your problem and its implications on your self-esteem and willingness to socialize. If not, if you have some money, go to your local pharmacist, ask for the best over the counter antiperspirant (high percent of antiperspirant agent), and apply that to your washed hands and underarms right before sleep, and a second distinct stick in the morning. As for feet, try the same thing, or try a foot absorber like talc or baby powder or gold bond. Avoid athlete%26#039;s foot as best as you can.
Reply:that has happened to me alot when i play soccer or basketball but if you have a diease called malaria that makes you sweat then you need a medicine.

Why do I sweat so much in my sleep?

When I wake up I%26#039;m drenched in sweat my clothes are drenched in sweat and the pillow is soaked. Is something wrong with me?
Why do I sweat so much in my sleep?
Are you going thru your change of life? I have always been a sweater,I sleep with the ceiling fan on high all year. I was pushed into surgical menopause a couple of years ago and it has increased, which stinks. I guess try a fan and see if that helps, alos keep a glass of water next to your bed.
Why do I sweat so much in my sleep?
Have you been checked for sugar.........sometimes that causes night sweats..........check with your doctor.
Reply:It maybe a sign of infection or menopause. I have Lupus which in my case, causes my night sweats.

I sweat too much!?

I know this question has been asked before, and I read that there%26#039;s some sort of powder that can work....calcadin? But I searched for it and came up with NOTHING. So I have a feeling it%26#039;s spelled wrong. Does anyone know the correct spelling or another solution.

I mainly just sweat under my arms :/
I sweat too much!?
dude.

me and you.

same problem.

try certain-dry.

.its like at any pharmacy like rite aid or CVS.
I sweat too much!?
Sweat is sexy.
Reply:Best thing every-- Drysol. It doesn%26#039;t clog your glands like anti-persprant, it actually slows down/stops them. I only used it a couple of times and it lasted for months. It%26#039;s a prescription liquid you put under your arms when they are DRY and I swear it%26#039;s like a miracle.
Reply:certain dri.

cvs.

$8 at most.

it works wonders.

put 1-3 strokes on at night, and use regular deodarant in the morning

it works wonders
Reply:that clinical strength deodorant by secret is 100% amazing. seriously i have that problem too and it%26#039;s like a miracle lol
Reply:i have the same problem sometimes. i would suggest using the new dove clinical strength at walmart it works really well.
Reply:About 2 months ago I was watching the Tyra banks show and on that particular episode appeared a young lady who had the same problem. There was a Dr. on the show who gave her botox injections on her underarms. The young lady stated that that was the only solution that had worked for her. I know it%26#039;s pricey but if nothing else works it doesn%26#039;t hurt to try.

Juicy sweats...?

i just got a pair of juicy couture sweats but today i accidentally broke the snap button thats on the back pockets. i have no idea how it happen actually..and its like hard metal so it%26#039;s impossible to put back together myself. if i go to a juicy store would they fix it? i don%26#039;t know if juicy has a guarantee on their stuff like some other brands..
Juicy sweats...?
Most likely they%26#039;ll fix it. E-mail them and find out. Usually high-end brands offer exceptional customer service!
Juicy sweats...?
i think if you took the sweats to the store, they would fix the pocket snap. just explain what happened, and they%26#039;d probably do it for a fee. Or, you could make up some story saying that when you bought them you didn%26#039;t notice that the snap was broken, and they%26#039;d do it for free. And, if worst comes to worse, you can always take them to a tailor and they could make them as good as new.
Reply:well, i%26#039;m pregnant, and i bought some. they busted and i went in and told me they couldn%26#039;t fix it, and my horomones kicked in and i went off on them. so mean less to say, mine got fixed. if they dont fix it ask for your money back.
Reply:uhh take it back to teh store with the recit and they%26#039;ll give u a new pair

Underarm sweat...?

I have REALLY bad underarm sweat.. and you can see it through my shirt... its really embarrassing! it doesn%26#039;t stink or anything, is there anything at home that I can use or do to help it? please help!
Underarm sweat...?
i used to suffer really bad, but since using driclor from my local chemists, for 6mths,i dont suffer half as much and can go somedays without deodorant, whereas before there was no chance.
Underarm sweat...?
Here%26#039;s 4 ways to reduce underarm sweating:

http://underarmsweating.weebly... Report It

Reply:Arid XX dry
Reply:The best thing would be an antiperspirant + some toilet tissue under the arms.
Reply:Are you using an antiperspirant or are you using a deodorant? Perhaps an antiperspirant you should see a dermatologist who could suggest what to wear under your arms. As for a home remedy, I can%26#039;t think of anything for you to use. I know Boric Acid powder works great on sweaty feet but I never heard of dusting the armpits with it. It%26#039;d be worth checking into it huh? Good luck!!!
Reply:I use to have the same problem - I found a product called Drysol but it%26#039;s behind the counter at the pharmacy, so all you have to do it ask the pharmacist for it. You don%26#039;t need a prescription of anything. It cost about $15-20 for a bottle but it lasts forever as you don%26#039;t need to use much.

You put it on before you go to bed for the night and then in the morning you can still use your regular deoderant although you don%26#039;t have to. I needed to use it every night for about a week and then after that, I only needed to use it maybe once a week, once every two weeks. It works like a miracle!

Be careful that you don%26#039;t apply to much though, it can irritate the skin under your arms if you have sensitive skin.

Good luck - I%26#039;ve recommended this stuff before with positive results, hope you can find it somewhere!
Reply:go to a dr and get a prescription for a product called drysol
Reply:Certain Dri, go 2 wal mart and buy it from the deodorant aisle, it harmless and you roll it under your arms @ nite and then when u wake up in the mornin u just put on your reg deodorant and ure good to go. I use it all the time and it really works... btw im 15. O and 4 home stuff i guess try baking powder?!? But really, just go and buy certain dri, its only like 4 bucks i think
Reply:There are lots of products for this problem and I%26#039;ve tried them all! Going to doctors next week to talk about botox injections and getting the sweat glands removed cos none of these products have worked for me
Reply:i have the same problem and i can%26#039;t seem to be albe to find a deodorant thatworks for me! i tried secret and ban and lady speed stick but that doesn%26#039;t work! u r lucki that u don%26#039;t have B.O. when u do sweat. THATS BAD! um.... does your mom have the same problem or used to? ask her what kind of deoderant does she use? it might have something to jeens.

Why do i sweat so much. i wear deorderent but i still get sweaty armpits?

i get huge sweat marks and my boobs sweat
Why do i sweat so much. i wear deorderent but i still get sweaty armpits?
Hi! If the sweating is really intense then you suffer from Hyperhydrosis (I do too, I know aaaall about it)

You need a stronger antiperspirant. The regular ones will not do much to your problem, try at the pharmacy, and ask for Drysol. This is a strong antiperspirant that you put at night and you will not sweat a drop during the day!! I use it and works like a charm, no more dripping with embarrassing sweat and awful sweat stains. Try it!
Why do i sweat so much. i wear deorderent but i still get sweaty armpits?
This is a medical condition that may require a prescription form the doctor. Make an appointment!
Reply:hmm, well a girl I was talking to said that she had the same problem, and another girl said that 1 in every 4 girls sweats alot. Just put deodarant on before you start sweating or it is useless.
Reply:You need the combo treatment of a deodorant and antiperspirant. Even then, some brands might not work well with your chemistry. I still have to switch every few months because after awhile they become less effective also. Mitchim and degree work for me. Baby powder should take care of your under the boob problem.
Reply:that%26#039;s just normal,it depends in the physical activities, depends in the deodorant, its just normal
Reply:Your condition is called Hyperhidrosis. This is generally sweating in excess of the amount needed to cool your body. It is said to affect about 3% of the population and it can be embarrassing to be drenched in your clothes for no apparent reason.

The cause is not well known but some are inherited and therefore run in families.

There are various modes of treatment which include surgery, Botox injections, oral medication, and high concentration antiperspirants among others. You may find the link below useful.

How can i sweat more profusely during exercise to keep me motivated?
Take a clean large enough plastic bin liner, at the sealed end cut a hole for neck and arms, wear as a jumper, underneath sweat shirt and get a bucket to catch the sweat as it pours off!
How can i sweat more profusely during exercise to keep me motivated?
Wear more clothing while you exercise.
Reply:No, you don%26#039;t. How much you%26#039;re sweating is a poor indicator of exercise intensity or quality. You don%26#039;t want to sweat too much, as you%26#039;ll be losing valuable fluids that will PREVENT you from going longer.

Some people sweat a lot, some people (myself included) do not.

Drink plenty of water (at least 8 fl oz. per 15 minutes of exercise), and whatever you do; DO NOT WEAR ONE OF THOSE RIDICULOUS PLASTIC JOGGING SUITS!

Reply:I would go to the doctor. It could be your pills making you sweat. I had the same problem about 5 months ago and they had to switch my anti depressants. They also will do blood tests to check for cancer and such. They will also make you take a pregnancy test just to be certain. Good luck
Reply:Go to the doctor it could be several different things!

Check out Cushings and Acromegaly to see if you have other symptoms of them because doctors usually do not catch them or not for a long times after years of suffering.
Reply:Women can get menapause at any age. There are some women who get it in there twenties and thirty%26#039;s. You might want to check with a gyne.

Reply:Go to your doctor. It sounds almost like menopause but you sound almost too young for that. I had a friend who went through menopause in her 30%26#039;s. So go to your doctor.
Reply:I%26#039;ve noticed this problem from time to time, too. Nowhere near as extreme as yourself - but I do notice that, sometimes, I%26#039;ve got so hot in the night, the pillowslip is slightly stained with the hair dye I use!!!

But, what I have learned, over a period of time, is that when this happens, I have usually %26#039;crashed%26#039; - I%26#039;ve been very tired indeed and have gone into deep sleep.

Having said that, its worth being cautious because %26#039;night sweats%26#039; can be an indication of %26#039;sleep apnoea%26#039; - which is when your airway is temporarily constricted, such that you literally stop breathing momentarily until your brain %26#039;instructs%26#039; your body to gasp for breath.

This can happen many many times in a night - almost none of which you%26#039;ll remember. (Except you might be aware that you go to the toilet more often at night than you used to - because you%26#039;ve been prompted into a more wakeful state and so have registered a need to go more easily...)

Sufferers usually %26#039;snore%26#039; - I suspect thats what happens with me (so very tired I start snoring sometimes!) - and that can mean a narrowing of the airway...

Obesity, sedative use and alcohol are said to be potential factors, as is high blood pressure and diabetes. (However NOT hypoglycaemia - low blood sugar - as suggested by another answer)

You do seem to have a big problem with it, waking up literally %26#039;soaked%26#039; and there many other factors - and potential risks. It is well worth it to discuss it with your doctor, who (as well as checking your general health and the risk factors already mentioned) may suggest the use of monitoring equipment for a night or two to check what is happening. (Do you have a partner? Aware of what you do at night? Could give clues...)

People with this condition do not remember those moments when they jolted into semi-wakefulness - but might well be aware that they are not sleeping as well as they used to, perhaps feeling real fatigue during the day. They just haven%26#039;t had any restorative sleep...

I hope this is some help to you - and wish you well.
Reply:I think you should get checked out by the doctor anyway. Most night sweats are absolutely nothing but there are some conditions where sweats are a factor.

Here%26#039;s 4 ways to reduce underarm sweating:

Take a clean large enough plastic bin liner, at the sealed end cut a hole for neck and arms, wear as a jumper, underneath sweat shirt and get a bucket to catch the sweat as it pours off!

Drink plenty of water (at least 8 fl oz. per 15 minutes of exercise), and whatever you do; DO NOT WEAR ONE OF THOSE RIDICULOUS PLASTIC JOGGING SUITS!

lately for the past couple weeks I have been getting drenching night sweats. I%26#039;m only 16 so I don%26#039;t know what could be causing this. I had them in september and august a lot and they stopped, so I%26#039;m going to see if this is the same case. In the meantime do you guys know what it could be. Is there anyway to stop these nightsweats. I really hate haveing wet clothes in ther morning.
Night Sweats?
You might want to get checked for mono. Being tired and night sweats were the main symptoms I had when I had it a few years back. They symptoms can last for a while.
Night Sweats?
Its most likely during Ovulation. Every month only one ovary will work to express and egg, so its different each month for you.

Doctors in primary care fields often hear their patients complain of night sweats. Night sweats refer to any excess sweating occurring during the night. However, if your bedroom is unusually hot or you are using too many bedclothes, you may begin to sweat during sleep--and this is normal. In order to distinguish night sweats that arise from medical causes from those that occur because one鈥檚 surroundings are too warm, doctors generally refer to true night sweats as severe hot flashes occurring at night that can drench sleepwear and sheets, which are not related to an overheated environment.

In one study of 2267 patients visiting a primary care physician, 41% reported experiencing night sweats during the previous month, so the perception of excessive sweating at night is fairly common. It is important to note that flushing (a warmth and redness of the face or trunk) may also be hard to distinguish from true night sweats.

There are many different causes of night sweats. To determine what is causing night sweats in a particular individual, a doctor must obtain a detailed medical history and order tests to decide if an underlying medical condition is responsible for the night sweats. Some of the known conditions that can cause night sweats are:

Menopause 鈥?The hot flashes that accompany the menopausal transition can occur at night and cause sweating. This is a very common cause of night sweats in perimenopausal women.

Idiopathic hyperhidrosis 鈥?Idiopathic hyperhidrosis is a condition in which the body chronically produces too much sweat without any identifiable medical cause.

Infections 鈥?Classically, tuberculosis is the infection most commonly associated with night sweats. However, bacterial infections, such as endocarditis (inflammation of the heart valves), osteomyelitis (inflammation within the bones), and abscesses all may result in night sweats. Night sweats are also a symptom of AIDS virus (HIV) infection.

Cancers 鈥?Night sweats are an early symptom of some cancers. The most common type of cancer associated with night sweats is lymphoma. However, people who have an undiagnosed cancer frequently have other symptoms as well, such as unexplained weight loss and fevers.

Medications 鈥?Taking certain medications can lead to night sweats. In cases without other physical symptoms or signs of tumor or infection, medications are often determined to be the cause of night sweats. Antidepressant medications are a common type of medication that can lead to night sweats. All types of antidepressants can cause night sweats as a side effect, with a range in incidence from 8 to 22% of persons taking antidepressant drugs. Other psychiatric drugs have also been associated with night sweats. Medicines taken to lower fever such as aspirin and acetaminophen can sometimes lead to sweating. Other types of drugs can cause flushing, which, as mentioned above, may be confused with night sweats. Some of the many drugs that can cause flushing include:

niacin (taken in the higher doses used for lipid disorders),

tamoxifen,

hydralazine,

nitroglycerine, and

sildenafil (Viagra).

Many other drugs not mentioned above, including cortisone medications such as prednisone and prednisolone, may also be associated with flushing or night sweats.

Hypoglycemia 鈥?Sometimes low blood glucose can cause sweating. People who are taking insulin or oral anti-diabetic medications may experience hypoglycemia at night that is accompanied by sweating.

Hormone disorders - Sweating or flushing can be seen with several hormone disorders, including pheochromocytoma, carcinoid syndrome, and hyperthyroidism.

Neurologic conditions 鈥?Uncommonly, neurologic conditions including autonomic dysreflexia, post-traumatic syringomyelia, stroke, and autonomic neuropathy may cause increased sweating and possibly lead to night sweats.

For me, it was a sleeping problem... I breathed to shallow. Sometimes even stopped breathing.. When you do that, just breathing is a lot of work...and your body response%26#039;s to the exertion....It could also be the beginning of a lot of other things.

I%26#039;m sure you know, some things can become life threatning if let go to long. So please, by all means ask your folks to take you to see a doctor. I%26#039;m not trying to scare you or make you paranoid about it. But serious things like that need to be looked at by a doctor. Don%26#039;t settle for anyone%26#039;s answer on an internet format... Good Luck..
Reply:I think you need to see your doctor. You are evidently suffering from a low-grade infection that doesn%26#039;t cause many symptoms except the tiredness. During the night you probably run a fever that breaks, and when that happens you sweat. The infection should be treated, because it could develop into something more serious like pneumonia. Night sweats are common in menopausal women, but since you%26#039;re only 16, that isn%26#039;t an issue. However, you could also have some kind of hormone imbalance. In any event, I would see your doctor and tell him/her about the night sweats. There is definitely some underlying cause. Good luck!

I had a low grade fever a few times too, but no other symptoms happened, i felt fine. I%26#039;m gonna see if it stops in another week.

Hormones secreted around a week or two before you period.

Mark the calendar and watch it. Night sweats are common as are %26quot;hot flashes%26quot; in the daytime. IT a surge in hormones.

That%26#039;s normal for some woman. Till they get on the %26quot;pill%26quot; to regulate the estrogen levels.

So your mostly like a real %26quot;fertile%26quot; kinda gal. SO use protection!

Medical Author: Melissa Conrad St枚ppler, MD

Medical Editor: William C. Shiel, Jr, MD, FACP, FACR

Good luck!

Can deodorants and antiperspirants make you sweat more?

I know, it%26#039;s embarrassing for me being a female but no matter what type of brands of deodorants and/or antiperspirants I try, it seems like I sweat even more than when I don%26#039;t use them. It%26#039;s noticeable on my tops and even using different brands to try to mix up the routine doesn%26#039;t work. It%26#039;s either I use and sweat a lot or don%26#039;t use and sweat a little but more smelly... %26gt;.%26lt;

I%26#039;ve heard that there could be a genetic cause to sweatiness but no one else in my family has it like I do.

Any help/suggestions would be very grateful!
Can deodorants and antiperspirants make you sweat more?
no..i don%26#039;t think deodorants/antiperspirants can actually make you sweat more..but that would make a good conspiracy theory. actually, antiperspirants are very bad for you as they effectively block your pores with awful chemicals..very unhealthy! if you must..use a NATURAL deodorant. but, if you give it time, you%26#039;ll find that if you leave your body to it%26#039;s natural plan you actually won%26#039;t smell that bad! besides..believe it or not, there are pheromones in your sweat. those are chemicals that actually are attractive to others..in a sexual way. as i%26#039;ve told my girlfriend..%26quot;i love the way you stink%26quot;!
Can deodorants and antiperspirants make you sweat more?
My friend had this problem and she just started using guy roll on deodrant because it%26#039;s stronger. As long as you wash your armpits with soap and water everyday then it should be fine.

Another thing you could do is bring wipes in your handbag. You can get deodrant wipes... so half way through the day clean your armpits in the bathroom and then reapply deodrant... this should keep them fresh.

Night sweats?

Are there any pill, vitimins, or remedies for extreme night sweats?
Night sweats?
First of all, make sure you know why are you having night sweats. They happen to women in menopause, but they can also happen to people with tuberculosis and HIV.

If it%26#039;s the %26quot;change of life%26quot;, then there are several things that can help: Exercise, quitting smoking, cutting out caffeine and alcohol, and eating properly for starters. Make sure you drink plenty of water. There are prescription hormone replacement medications that can help if the symptoms are severe, and there are also herbal/natural remedies, such as soy, black cohosh, and wild yam.
Night sweats?
depends on what they%26#039;re from....

menopause, hormones...

diabetes...meds

regular night sweats...fan or a/c in the room...(no pj%26#039;s and light on the sheets/covers...)
Reply:i reckon there would be, ask at your local chemist, or drugstore if your in america.

or your doctor may be able to help, and give you prescription medication.

Reply:U have to go to a doctor the doctor knows wat to do........
Reply:Not smoking. The tar from cigarettes coats the inside of your lungs, which also help regualte your body temperature. With a coating of tar preventing your thermostat from working properly your body can easily overheat.
Reply:See your doctor for persistent night sweats. There is a reason for them and only your doctor can figure out the cause and help you.
Reply:If you are suffering from menopause symptoms Black Cohosh helps a great deal. You should check with your health food store for them. Ask plenty of questions. The folks I have dealt with over the years have all been eager to answer questions and generally have a pretty good working knowledge of the herbals they sell. However, if you are not suffering night sweats due to menopause (natural or surgically caused) your best bet is to go to your doctor or herbalist and tell her/him what your symptoms are. There may be an underlying condition causing this that needs to be remedied with other medication herbal or otherwise.

Reply:Kathy A and RayeKaye have given you good advice. I just want to add that you should see your doctor who can order blood tests to rule out thyroid problems--they can mimic menopausal symptoms.
Reply:Hello, yes there are pills. I know of one that I%26#039;m on, it%26#039;s Premarin . You%26#039;ll have to go to your Dr %26amp; let the Dr know what%26#039;s going on with you. It sounds like your harmmowens. But it%26#039;s better to be safe then sorry. I hoped I helped some, I%26#039;m not a Dr so I can%26#039;t tell what%26#039;s wrong, I can only tell you what I think. Reply:I%26#039;m afraid that there%26#039;s no solution to your problem. It%26#039;s likely a genetic trait of which you have no control over. I tend to have sweaty hands and feet, too, but usually only if I%26#039;m in a place that%26#039;s on the warm side.

My brother and Dad both have sweaty feet and hands, so I know it%26#039;s genetic. I sympathize with you, as it can become an awkward problem, especially when it comes to shaking people%26#039;s hands, holding hands with someone you%26#039;re dating, etc., etc. Whenever I used to play videogames with my friend and we%26#039;d take turns and hand of the controller, he%26#039;d wipe it off everytime before using it because my hands soaked the controller with sweat.

Sorry, it happens to some people. It%26#039;s too bad you have such a severe case--I manage to get by, as, like I said, I really only sweat if I%26#039;m warm. If I%26#039;m in a comfortable or cool temperature, then I stay perfectly dry.

How is your water intake? (water not other beverages) research and see how much u need x-amount of water a day.

is the sweating more in the day or night time... is it soaking your bedding/clothing.

what is your ancestry (some races naturally sweat more than other races).

R u overweight, ?body fat measure

what is your age/ sex/ do u work out how often (aside from work). medications currently taking include otc%26#039;s (over the counter) list any herbal/holistic treatments/supplements also

(many such regimes can cause side effects)

You see that these are a few of the questions that you will need to have. before a proper diagnosis..

i Suggest that you contact your health care provider

prepare to bring a urine sample (morning first urine, mid stream flow, area cleaned before hand), blood sample, possible stool (is urine/stool dark etc..

then with all this it may be nothing.. but check and bee sure

How can you sweat LESS!?

i sweat alot

even when im not hot!

is there anyway to make me

%26quot;sweat less%26quot;

or not have wet stains under my armpits on my shirt
How can you sweat LESS!?
Try Certain-dri deodorant... it%26#039;s prescription strength %26amp; has changed my life. It doesn%26#039;t work like normal deodorant.

You can also have botox injections in your armpits.

They also sell perspiration guards for shirts (kind of like maxi pads for your armpits).

If the certain-dri doesn%26#039;t work, talk to your doctor. There is a medical condition, and he can go over your options with you.

Good luck!!!
How can you sweat LESS!?
um....... lets see...... I think there is something that they sell in stores......... what was it.....

DEODORANT!!!!

Underarm sweat.....?

my friend sweats a lot under her arms. She has regular deoderant, but it doesn%26#039;t work. Any ideas?
Underarm sweat.....?
either get the clinical strength stuff (secret, degree all make it, there is also one called Certain Dri that I have used and works wonders!) These have to be applied at night so they absorb into your skin. You can shower in the morning AND put over regular strength deodorant if you wish, but you really don%26#039;t need to. Sometimes I would only have to apply the clinical strength stuff every other day because it does such a great job! If that still doesn%26#039;t work, a dermatologist can prescribe something called Drysol Dab-o-Matic which is prescription strength stuff. I work at a pharmacy and several patients are very happy with the results obtained from using it.
Underarm sweat.....?
there is this one deoderant that helps with people who sweat alot. I believe it is dove and i believe degree has one to. If these doesnt work mabey she could go to a doctor to give her something perscribed
Reply:dove anti persperant!
Reply:The problem is that your friend is using deoderant, which only deoderizes underarms. She should try antiperspirant, like Lady%26#039;s Speed Stick.
Reply:I recommend Certain Dri, like someone above said you put it on while you%26#039;re sleeping and it actually closes the pores in that area. I do this along with putting on a strong antiperspirant/deodorant after I take a shower. I%26#039;m a guy and I use Mitchum. This works wonders, as I used to have a huge sweating problem.
Reply:well, deodorant is not enough, its also in her diet. she have to take a bath daily, in the mornings and the evenings before she goes to sleep, soaking in a tub filled with scents is not enough scrubbing the armpit with a soft towel is also good, she%26#039;d better not borrow someone shirt or clothes, if she%26#039;s a hyper person she better bring with her extra shirts so that everytime she starts to sweat and before she%26#039;s soaked atleast she can change her shirt immediately.

Anyone know if that one Curves sweat belt from the AVON catalog really works?

my mom just bought it a while ago and I was wondering if anyone knew or had used it before and knows if it actually helps you sweat a lot.....and if so...does using a sweat belt...or making your stomach sweat..does that really help you lose weight? or do anything at all? ...umm thanx for all tha help u guys!
Anyone know if that one Curves sweat belt from the AVON catalog really works?
It%26#039;s not a miracle worker, but I have sold these to a couple of the drivers I work with. One of them swears by them %26amp; has replaced hers twice in the last year or so. She wears it all day everyday though, so replacing them that often is not exactly typical. I tried one for myself but it just wasn%26#039;t right for me. The good thing about Avon though is that if you buy it %26amp; don%26#039;t like it, just bring it back to your Avon rep %26amp; they%26#039;ll either replace it or give you a refund.
Anyone know if that one Curves sweat belt from the AVON catalog really works?
i doubt anything will help you lose weight besides eating healthy and daily exercise. looks like a gimmick to me...if you do sweat alot, you might lose a little in water weight..probably not enough to notice
Reply:I dont think so, however if you use the belt to help hold your abs in during an ab workout that does help. Other then that I truly disagree
Reply:Don%26#039;t know about your mom, but I work out 6 days a week and use belt at least half the time, and it works for me..Good luck to you mom..
Reply:Sweat belts don%26#039;t make you loose weight... they make you loose water. You know, the water in all that sweat. Water has weight, and so you loose weight when you sweat. When you have a glass of water, you replace all the water you sweated out.

The exercising that your were doing to sweat is what makes you loose weight, not the sweating.
Reply:actually, i have one as well and i wound%26#039;nt say that it would make you lose weight. what it does is that if you use it correctly, it would tighten up ur stomach. and yes, it does help u%26#039;re body sweat more. but, what i do to make it work even better?

ik that this souds crazy but wrap ur stomach (or whoever%26#039;s wearing it) in clear plastic wrap and put the belt around you. trust me, you will SWEAT!!

You should give the old ones to me, I happen to be able to fit in Large. Report It

Reply:im a girl

LOL Report It

Reply:they%26#039;re probably just stretching out.

i dont think that i would wear a sweatshirt if the elastic was too big; i might wear it around the house or as pjs, but i think you should get a new one to wear out. try on both a medium and a large, and see what fit you like best.

hope i helped

[[:
Reply:Hollister doesn%26#039;t make quality clothing, so they probably stretched. I would go to the store and see if the medium is too tight. If it is, then I%26#039;d buy more larges. Unless you get better quality clothing, they are going to stretch again.
Reply:i dont know why that is happening either

but to me it happens a lot with jeans [not hollister jeans]

anyways start buying M%26#039;s that way they will last longer =]

PS: YOU DONT HAVE TO LOSE WEIGHT TO LOSE INCHES
Reply:there just streatching out.try to shrink them in the wash first before getting new ones
Reply:Re-read the washing instructions. You could be washing them in the wrong type of water. When you hang clothing up in closets, on hangers they strech out. Try folding them. Or buying the next size down.
Reply:If they seem like they%26#039;re too big, then next time you buy one get a medium. Try to shrink the ones you have now by drying them. =)

Please answer my friend%26#039;s question:

WHY do i sweat so much wen its hot out wen im not normally a sweat person????

im an 18 yr old female. i am 5%26#039;6%26#039;%26#039;, and weight between 100 and 110lbs. i have porcellin colored skin (tho im not sure thats important). im not a big sweater, but whenever it is 75 deg F or more out, i sweat more than the average person. it really freaks me out. i dont even have to be physically exerting myself. just standing there i have problems. i feel uncomfortable more quickly as well, and tend to the shade because i tend to become light-headed and lose my sight really easily. i always feel like i look like a baby freaking out about the heat, but i always feel like im dying. because of this, i avoid being outside very long in the summer, and never go to a beach or anything mid-day. it seems a little extreme and i wonder if theres anything i can do to make things more bearable. can there be any sort of genetic reasoning that i could be more sensitive to a warm climate? im not out of shape. i run between 6 and 10 miles four days a week. dont get it. dont get it.
WHY do i sweat so much wen its hot out wen im not normally a sweat person????
Because your body is overheating and the sweating is the natural cooling system for your body. Make sure to stay hydrated though.

I sweat on my underarms REALLY bad. but no odor, it's a real confidence downer.?

i use antiper/ and deodorant, and powder, and aerosal deodorant too. i get sweat marks all the way down my sides its horrible. but i don%26#039;t get any odor at all !!
I sweat on my underarms REALLY bad. but no odor, it%26#039;s a real confidence downer.?
What%26#039;s your diet like? Are you overweight?

Your body does need to sweat to help it to clear some toxins from the body through the lymphnodes. Probably part of the reason it has no scent is precisely because if you leave the water running, fungus and bacteria can%26#039;t grow in it. When water sits and is allowed to stagnate is when germs grow and therefore cause odor.

The reason I asked about diet was that some substances like spicey foods may cause your body to enter detox mode and therefore, sweat. I also asked about your weight because usually the more meat you have on your body, the higher your core temperature.

If neither of these are contributing factors, then what you probably have is %26quot;hyperhydrosis%26quot;. If this is the case, you should stop wearing antiperspirant (as it%26#039;s not helping anyways) and and not use soap when you wash under your arms. The links below explain why, or other things you can try that might help.
I sweat on my underarms REALLY bad. but no odor, it%26#039;s a real confidence downer.?
Congrats! Way to go! Kudos to you!

I found it was just a phase, like a hormonal thing (I was about 14 when it was happening)
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry! It%26#039;s a common problem to perspire a lot! Try using Certain Dri. It%26#039;s an awesome antipersperant and it seriously stopped my sweating. I used it for about a year and now I don%26#039;t have to use it anymore.
Reply:If all else fails, it can be surgically corrected by removing or cutting off the sweat glands.
Reply:see a doctor and get a prescribed deodorant.
Reply:me too lol.

i dont worry about it i just dont wear grey when im going to exercise, and try to sit and keep it unnoticed until it goes away.

for some reason i have no odor either...
Reply:try that new secret clinical strenght or certain dry
Reply:First of all, be happy that there isn%26#039;t any odor. Also, you should tell a doctor, because you may have this weird problem that my friend has, except it%26#039;s her hands that are always sweating. Also, you should put toilet paper under your arms. (Yeah, it%26#039;s gross, but it%26#039;s not as gross as sweat marks. Ew.) Toilet paper is pretty absorbant but thin, so it should work pretty well without letting people notice.
Reply:have you asked a plastic surgeon about botox injections for the excessive perspiration? remember that not being able to sweat at all isn%26#039;t good because it%26#039;s your bodies way of cooling off.
Reply:I have the same problem, as do my sister and mother. There%26#039;s not a whole lot you can do to make it go away entirely. Wear loose-fitting clothing that breathes (try to stay away from polyester and polyester blends). Take your coat or outerwear off as soon as you go indoors. Dark colors can hide those pit-stains better than light colors. I use Secret Platinum brand deodorant/anti-perspirant - it%26#039;s worked the best for me so far. You can ask your doctor for a prescription for Drysol, which is a super high-strength antiperspirant (it%26#039;s available over-the-counter in Canada, if you live close to the border). My sister tried it and said it worked great for about 3 months, until her body built up an immunity to its effects and her underarm sweat came back with a vengeance.

Otherwise, you%26#039;re just going to have to get used to it. If anyone comments on it, make a joke about how you%26#039;ve been working really hard. Sorry, I know how terribly unsightly and uncomfortable excessive underarm sweat can make you feel as a woman, but there%26#039;s only so much you can do. After you get comfortable with the idea, it%26#039;s really not that bad.
Reply:hopefully you will take the time to read all the way down this list. please believe the dude who told you to try certain dri. the active ingredient is different than 99% of the crap you can buy at walmart or krogers (although you CAN buy certain dri at walmart). it WORKS.

it costs about 5.99, and the directions are a little hard to get used to (dont use after a shower, apply at night before bed, dont use too much, etc) it stings the first couple of times you use it, but wow it works! do not use it in the morning because the stuff WILL bleach clothing etc. i have a couple of discoloration marks on my pillowcases where i laid up against it before it had dried. once it dries, it is ok. it is a clear liquid that comes in a small roll-on bottle. AWESOME STUFF! I wish i had learned about it years earlier.
Reply:try certain dri...its an antiperspirant you use overnight. it worked well for me although it kinda made my underarms itch. you can get it at any drug store for about $5.00
Reply:Hyperhidrosis can be caused by food allergies, or a mineral/vitamin deficiency. I had the ETS surgery done, it%26#039;s very expensive.

Anticholinergic drugs, applying topical solutions, botox, and ETS surgery. The surgery was most helpful but several
