I have a son that is 9 yrs old and does not sweat...never has. I%26#039;ve mentioned this to 2 different doctors and both just said, %26quot;Huh, that%26#039;s weird%26quot;. No tests, no nothing. I worry about him in the summer months...he gets so hot outside. His face gets a bright red ring all the way around it, but at most will feel a little moist on his forhead, but never any visible sweat anywhere on his body.
Anyone dealt with this or know what could be the cause?

You need to ask his pediatrician what kind of specialist you should take him to for tests. A 9 year old should sweat - especially after play and exercise. His body can overheat and he would be in big trouble. Don%26#039;t take no for an answer. I know there are some genetic causes for this, but I%26#039;m sure there are other reasons. He need to be evaluated.
