What causes some people to sweat more then others and what can be done to increase ones ability to perspire?

I can hardly sweat at all. I know that from a social perspective that is seen as a good thing, but from a health perspective it is NOT!

How can I increase my bodies ability to sweat?????
What causes some people to sweat more then others and what can be done to increase ones ability to perspire?
I have this problem too. I haven't done anything about it, but I would try diaphoretic herbs (sweat producing) such as peppermint..take it while hot.

Here are some of these herbs below..

Also do dry skin brushing to keep pores clean.

Also use dry saunas.

I can identify..I do too..that's why I prefer the steam saunas but think it is dangerous as they are using chlorinated water whereas they should use ozenated water instead in steam rooms and hot tubs. Report It

Reply:Herballegacy and herbdoc.com and curezone and healing tools are some of the best websites I know. Just be sure your other elimination organs are cleansed regularly to pick up the slack (lungs/liver and gall bladder/ kidney and bladder/ and especially the colon and skin brush daily. Report It

Reply:This is one for the MDs. Besides increasing your activity level I have no clue..
Reply:Drink more fluids.
Reply:While exercising take kelp and liquid potassium, make sure that you increase your heart rate. This should help
Reply:Some people naturally sweat more than others, Ask a Doctor to run tests for thyroids. Salt pills will generaly make a person sweat, drink more water.
Reply:You are right to be concerned sweating is the primary means by which your body regulates its temperature in response to changes in generated body heat or environment such as through exercise. It is possible that you have a propensity toward heat exhaustion and your health is at risk. Anyone who suggests you exercise could be placing you at great risk. See a doctor鈥here are many causes for this condition, diabetes and even some neurological disorders 鈥ut do not be alarmed 鈥 am sure you are fine. You can cause your body to sweat by the use of a humidifier which adds moisture to the air and helps keep the nose, throat, and skin from becoming dry. Also you may try wearing plastic which will not breath and thus holds in your body heat in鈥ut do not exercise like this as you run the risk of a blood pressure increase which could be life threatening, so again see your doctor to determine what you should do. See more than one doctor because they do not always agree. The more info you have the better. But you may simply not be drinking enough water. Not fluids but water鈥?if you are not consuming at least 60 ounces of water a day ..Start! There are medications that can increase the body鈥檚 ability to perspire but these are prescription drugs that your doctor will advise you on.

Other parts of your body may also may be inclined toward dryness and this should be explored with you doctor, chronic mouth dryness can cause bad breath and dryness within the vagina may inhibit your ability to have a climax and make intercourse very painful without lubrication. Do not be shy ..make sure you discuss any area of your body that seems to be having a problem lubricating properly because this may not simply be a problem with your body sweating.

As for why some sweat profusely ..well while many people are cruel to those who do so but this condition is not life threatening and may well be caused by genetics or obesity or over-activity or even nerves. And it can occur in many different areas on the body. It is often called hyperhidrosis and it is generally seen on the palms of the hands but it can also occur on the face, the soles of the feet (plantar), and in the armpits (axillae). There are treatments for this 鈥ut no cure.

Good luck and be safe!
