What to do about smelly sweat?

I shower daily and apply an antiperspirant/deodorant but I still smell bad. I also use an antibacterial soap. I don't know what to do. I have tried drysol and cut out stuff like onions and garlic from my diet. I don't sweat excessively but whenever I do sweat it smells horrible. It is ruining my social life and kids at school avoid me.

I feel sorry for you, but awesome question....

Something internally is going on.

try taking baths 3x a week in EPSOM SALT you will find it in your local drugstore. It comes in a carton like milk .Usually no more than $3.and will be near rubbing alcohol %26amp; H2O2. The salts release toxins from the skin. You just run a tub full of water, add bubble bath, add e-salts right before you jump in, and soak in it. You should see/smell a difference within 1week!!

*this is an old fashioned remedy*

You need to find out the root cause by seeing your doctor. There are many reasons why someone might have offensive odors. Could be a medical condition, something you eat, or could be a reaction to something you use like soap or a particular deodorant or something. Best bet is a trip to the DOC!
Reply:Try cutting back on strong vegis such as broccoli and stay away from fried foods. You can also apply deoderant to the feet, use a body spray or baking soda to the body after a shower. Change out your shoes and let the old ones dry fully over 24 hours to decrease bacteria. You can also try the herbal section for natural herbal deodorizers to ingest.
Reply:Sweat to begin with, doesn't have an odor. It's only when the sweat is combined with bacteria on the skin, that odor arises. I don't think anti-bacterial soaps are all that great for your body. Try using a mild soap like Dove, or ivory. Make sure that your shirts are being washed thoroughly. And make sure your deodorant/antiperspirant hasn't been used by a dirty person. also when you wash under your arms, use a wash cloth instead of just using your hand. That's more effective.
