this is called hyperhydrosis..and unfortunately somedr's are way too happy to operate on a healthy body. many have been disabled by this surgery. the forum listed below has an entire section on sweat and remedies for it. what works for one person may not work for all, but try different combinations..something will work =)

i used to sweat for no reason when i was a kid, pits got all wet and everything....and in school to...emberassing.
Reply:I have the same problem too. Please inform me if you have any effective solution.
Reply:he needs alot of cool water it ill help alot where lighter clothes to keep him cool
Reply:Go to your doctor. It's a medical condition of overactive sweat glands. Most notably, Patrick Rafter the tennis player quit because of this problem.

Go in for treatment and options.
Reply:There are treatments but it seems a little excessive..they give botox shots for sweating. At his age, give it time.
Reply:I had this problem around the time of puberty. It calmed down as I got old. Look up hyperhidrosis online and check it out. I still use a product called certain dri, but it is for excessive sweat on your under arms. It works relatively well.
