Why does my head sweat so much?

I get sweaty everywhere like most people, but my head sweats excessively to the point of embarrassment. My hair actually ends up looking like it has just been washed and the sweat just drips off my face and the back of my neck. When the weather forecast says its going to be hot, it actually makes me feel depressed! I shower every morning, put my make-up on and do my hair but by mid-morning, I look an absolute mess! Is there anything herbal out there that would help? I have an underactive thyroid which has recently been checked so I know it's not because of that. Advice please!!

i get a similar problem with head seats and i asked in holland and barrett and they suggested ''sage'' tablets i have been on them a few days now and they said wait a month so wish me luck!

Reply:Your head sweats so much because heat rises. In other words your body heat rises up and the highest point is your head. You could try getting a clear deodorant and applying to your neck and across your forehead before applying your make-up. As for the hair, no ideas on that except carry one of them paper fans and fan yourself whenever possible. Or maybe a pony tail.

Reply:Everyone should sweat more on their heads. You have a higher density of pores on your head than any other part of your body. Wash your hair with Tea tree and Mint shampoo, massaging your scalp thoruoghly and you should see a reduction.
Reply:the same happens to me.i am 61 and recently come off H R T. BUT I DONT THINK THATS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. I ALSO HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.BUT WHEN I CHECK IT MYSELF ITS OK .SO IT CANT BE THAT.I CAN BE DOING SOME SMALL CHORE LIKE IRONING AND THE SWEAT RUNS DOWN MY FACE UNTILL I CAN TASTE SALT. MY HAIR BEING NATURALLY CURLY .LOOKS AS IF I HAVE HAD AN OLD FASHION BUBBLE CUT HAIRSTYLE . SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE ,BEST OF LUCK.
